For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: Good campground for the location. Friendly staff, clean usable facilities, ok spacing between sites, about five miles from the west entrance to Big Bend NP. You are in the desert with little water so there is not much vegetation and there is dust. We would stay here again.

Pat Bailey

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: The word Resort in the name is misleading. That said, this is a typical older desert park: parking on desert floor, paid showers ($2 for 6 minutes seems standard price in the Big Bend). Everything costs more in this remote desert area.
After two weeks in the Big Bend National Park in mid December, I came here for a week, but extended it to a month. It's a base camp for all of the outdoor activities in the area: hiking, river canoeing, horseback camping. The staff is friendly, and the shower I used was decent. The washers in the laundry were good, but only a third of the dryers were working. The store pumps propane on weekdays.

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: Stayed 1 night in April 2017. Restrooms needed cleaning and showers cost $2 for 6 minutes. Used my RV facilities instead. Good location to Big Bend NP entrance. Credit card receipts held until you check out making another trip to the office necessary. Staff friendly and helpful. Will try different campground on my next trip to BB.

Stan

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: Camped at Big Bend resort and adventures Campground (5th wheel) in April 2016 and everything was fine. Only about half the RV sites were in use. This year we had a group of four RVs with reservations in March. The park was full due to spring break. When we arrive we were told by other campers the park had lost power the night before. Daytime temperatures were in the high 80s. After getting parked we discovered two of the four sites we had been assigned had low voltage < 104. I use a surge/low voltage protecting device. Whenever I attempted to run the AC units the protection device would trip. Slept that night without AC. One friend burned out an AC unit running it on low voltage. Although we were booked for five nights we only stayed one. The folks at the front desk acted like they were surprise there was an electrical problem and blamed the electrical company. However one of the maintain staff told us this had happened before and he had encourage the manager not to fully book the park because the electrical system was inadequate.

Tent-couple

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: The tent sites at this place are just dirt lots, with nothing provided, not even picnic tables! Bathrooms not clean. No shade or scenery. (This would matter less to RVs). The two nice things were the friendly staff and proximity to west entrance of Big Bend NP.

Chris

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: First of all, remember you are in the desert. Prices for items like gas and groceries and dining will be a little bit higher than normal, but they are reasonable. I feel that some of the other reviews of this park are unfair. The park clearly states that Wi-Fi is available in the game room only. Cable did not work at our site, we stayed at number 47, but we didn't come to the desert to watch tv either. The restrooms were clean when we stayed there and again the park was very clear that it would be two dollars for six minute shower.

The RV sites are very spacious and are on the desert floor so some campers may need to be prepared for leveling. We stayed for six days and this campground made for a perfect Basecamp to venture into Big Bend national Park and Big Bend Ranch state park. There are plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, golfing, horseback trail riding, river rafting, 4-wheeling, watching the moon rise over the mountains or shooting stars at night, etc.

At $29 per day, during Spring Break, it was an awesome adventure. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great place to explore Big Bend.

David

For Big Bend Resort and Adventures LLC: Wifi only works in cafe and game room!! Cell tower works for Verizon. Turned on iPhone hot spot and wifi worked great. My Verizon hot spot would not work. $32.00 per night.
