Diana
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Beautiful lake. Stayed in space 2 called ahead for a reservation to make sure we had a space. Reserved space had only water and electric but someone left and full hook up was first come first serve full hook up with trees , concrete pad, pull thru and picnick table. Better section of park. Check it first. $20 a night. If you want to rent a power boat you need to take a free boat course at www. boatus. org. take it before you get here. WiFi is on and off. No cable but we got some channels over the air with antenna booster to include the major networks fairly well. Goodfellow AFB is about 20 mins away but San Angelo is just down the street of you need supplies.will come back again. Staying 2 says in a fifthwheeler.

Buff
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Stayed 2 nights in site #19 (back in) in a 34 foot motorhome. Room to park towed in front. Concrete pad, picnic table, and grill. Have to use pliers to hook up water, no handle. Internet connection is sporadic. Nice view of the lake! Other sites are pull through where you would not need to disconnect toad. Pontoon boat's, kayaks, and canoes available to rent. Marina closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Green grass and birds singing in January. Will definitely stay here again. Paid $20 a night.

Dean
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Not bad for an overnight stop. Transient pull-thrus are level, graveled & spacious but lack sewage; a dump station is located in another area that was fully occupied by long-term occupants. The pool and lake would make this a superb summer stop. Wi-Fi worked but was slow; my AT&T hotspot worked great on 4GLTE (15MBS+).
Dinner recommendation - The Grill @ 5769 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, TX. Great happy hour and steaks.
$15/night. We camped in a 36' Class A.

Loose Lamb
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: There are older and newer sections. One has trees, the other is a parking lot. Older section is better with shade. Lots of day use activity around here.

Sharkie
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: WiFi was out for part of visit. Router not secure. Camp Host was excellent, friendly, and most helpful! No Internet and no cable TV. But had an enjoyable stay otherwise.
