For Hill Country RV Resort: OMG. We never expected this when we arrived. The heated pool and hot tub alone were enough for a awesome review. Stayed in a nice quiet spot with lovely full time neighbors that had my wife wanting full time decorations!! Will return again for sure.

For Hill Country RV Resort: I give this only 2 stars because this was a “Resort” that felt more like a nice trailer park. For the high price I don’t think I should be park surrounded by full time permanent trailers. They also should restrict the amount of decorative/outdoor stuff they are allowed to have. 15-20 potted plants that aren’t even alive is a little much. Also, they are allowed to fence off areas for their dogs to stay outside which means dogs barking constantly. Don’t get me wrong we have our dog with us but I don’t enjoy listening to others barking all day and sometimes through the night. With all this being said all of the staff was very nice and the amenities would have been great if we were there in the summer. Final impression is for $63 a night I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

For Hill Country RV Resort: We stayed here in late March 2018 and found the park to be very pleasant and quiet . The space we stayed in was at the very back of the park, so it may have been quieter than the front spaces. It is a large resort style park with swimming pool, hot tubs, weight rooms and several large, clean laundry rooms. All of the facilities appear to be new, clean and well maintained. The majority of the tenants appear to be long term winter visitors, or cottage rentals, however they have short term spaces available. This is a typical private park with the sites somewhat close together, but I have seen worse. While their normal overnight rate is higher than I would normally pay, they do accept Passport America cards which brings the rate down. We paid $29 a night using our Passport card.

The park is centrally located for exploring New Braunfels and the Gruene historic district. It is also close enough to vist San Antonio, riverwalk and the Alamo.

For Hill Country RV Resort: Large park undergoing many upgrades. Old, decrepit mobile homes being demolished to be replaced with park model cabins. New shallow play pool going in. Repurposed and renovated lodge building in progress. Showers and laundry old, but painted. Prices have skyrocketed. For an overnight or several, $50+ is too steep for gravel sites and crappy Tengo internet. Tengo alone (if you need good internet for business, financials, updating, etc - i.e., reliable - it's not Tengo) normally makes us stop elsewhere.
