For Fort Mason City Park: This is absolutely the best city/county/municipal park we have stayed in .....and we have been at this for 20-plus years. One night we could watch over 25 deer feeding and playing in the campground from our campsite. It is located in a mature pecan grove with great shade. No clue about the restrooms/showers we do not use them. We will stay again.

For Fort Mason City Park: Great little place to stay! Long, even and decently spaced sites.
We were there for a month in the winter and it was very wide open.
Only a few RVs/campers there for a few months. Love the deer
nightly as well as being so close to the golf course! Mason is a
really neat little town with lots of charm! Spent time at the
river nearby. The hosts are nice and being by firewood which is
a nice perk. Great WiFi during the day. Decent ATT service but
Verizon was strictly on Extended service. Great little place wayyyy
better than staying in Fredericksburg or other pricey places!

For Fort Mason City Park: We stayed here in November of 2018. This is a funny little city park. We wound up here because we wanted a respite from our 3-4 days jumps. We wound up staying 11 days. This city park actually receives funding from the TPWD. At least that is what the sign says in the middle of the park.
The park is very shielded from road noise. It has a simple little 9-hole golf course that is marked so you can plays 18 holes. Of course, we did. There is a local grocery story just down the road, as well as a place to get propane. The camp hosts are very friendly. They even delivered some firewood to us.
The local residents treat the trash dumpsters as their residential dumpster. On pickup days when it is empty there is a line of cars that show up and dump their household trash. Additionally, you are allowed to stay here for 30 days. We saw 2 trailers and a Monaco diesel pusher that were parked here when we arrived on were still here when we left. They had been there a long time as the exterior of the vehicles were starting to accumulate mold.
Turns out that the county sheriff showed up and knocked on the Monaco door. No on answered. Two days later, a couple in a dualie truck with an Elite Roofing logo showed up and quickly drove it away. The city finally got tired of the residents dumping stuff. They cleared out the mess and moved the dumpster closer to the interior where the camp host can monitor. Now we are just seeing cars and trucks with trash cruise the campground and leave.

For Fort Mason City Park: What a great place to enjoy wide open RV slots and even better facilities. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. The bathrooms were cleaner than mine at home! We walked with the kids each day and saw deer every time. It's safe and kid friendly. Our kids explored without supervision during the day. Pet friendly as well and everyone did a good job of keeping their dogs on a leash. We will go back! Probably a good idea to time it during a rodeo or baseball game. Just a great experience.

For Fort Mason City Park: Small pleasant campground. Crush and run gravel used for site pads and access roads. Situated in a city park that also has a golf course and rodeo stadium. Bathhouse has laundry facilities and decent showers. $25 a night for full hookups. Camping is permitted for up to three months at $400 a month.

For Fort Mason City Park: Nice treed park. Quiet except on the weekends and some evenings. Traffic thru the park. Events. But it was fun watching the roping for me:)
But nice rest rooms and wifi if you're in the right place.
