For Hanks Creek: It's out of the way but quiet and very pretty with nice tall pines.
We've stayed here twice, in 11/2017 and 04/2018. The first time we stayed in the higher section and had no problems with cell service, 10Mbps on AT&T, a little slower on Verizon.
The second time we had a site on the water but could barely get any signal. Putting an antenna in the air with a booster cleared that right up though, so it was just an altitude issue.
Staff was very friendly, facilities were nice and clean. Both times we were there the section of the park containing the playground was flooded so we can't attest to it.

For Hanks Creek: Very secluded and safe campground. It's a bit out of town so if that's your thing then this is a great place. It's very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were typical but definitely usable. The showers were clean and had good pressure and hot water. AT&T worked okay here. With a booster, I got about 10 down and 3 up. T-Mobile was barely usable at all. The gate staff told us to forget even trying Verizon. They have a swim area but it was closed. Oddly enough, closing the swim area also means that they closed the playground. My daughter was not happy about this. Overall, it's a beautiful location and worth a visit.
