For Palmetto State Park: Nice park with some problems. The road to the Rv campground is narrow with a low water crossing. A LOT of people have scraped. Low clearance or long vehicles may be damaged. Plus, the sides of the road are starting to subside, so someone’s going to lose a transmission.
If there’s no wind, a sulfur smell descends on the park. Yuk!! It’s in the water too so bring a good filter. Also , there’s no privacy between sites. This place needs some $$$.

For Palmetto State Park: Beautiful park. Lots of trees and trails. Trees do make satellite acquisition difficult. Close to Bucees.

For Palmetto State Park: Beautiful State Park with Palmettos, hiking and biking trails, fishing, and bird-watching. Level, private, shaded RV sites. Friendly and informative signs throughout the park which was built by CCC. Hosts were extremely nice people who keep the place immaculately. Heard coyotes, saw wild hogs, white-tailed deer and cardinals. Well worth driving the few extra miles off I-10 for an enjoyable, restful overnight.
