I tent-camped here during a ten day bike tour of the Hill Country. The campsites had really nice tree cover and apparently, according to the friendly camp manager, I was surrounded by 40 deer around midnight (I was asleep and didn't notice). This park changed hands in July 2020 and is now managed by the Dacia Resort Group and changed names to "Nueces River RV and Cabin Resort." They're making a lot of changes like installing fiber optic cable for high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the entire park. They're also putting in a dog run. The thing that I liked most about the park was how clean and nice the bathrooms and showers were. According to the manager, they're cleaned thrice a day. There's also a laundry room. The cost of my campsite was $45, which was the most I paid for any site during this trip. But the park is nice and has a lot of amenities. You can also rent cabins on the property or a house that can hold a big group. It's a nice place that's well cared for and I might stop in again if I return to Camp Wood.
