For South - Reelfoot Lake State Park: Nice and quiet (even on Memorial Day). Beautiful lake, shaded sites and ok showers and laundry. There is a visitors center a mile or so down the road where you can see live eagles, owls and more or take a guided boat tour. And the boardwalk that threads its way through the cypress trees is very nice. Several local restaurants are close by. Bring your fishing pole.

For South - Reelfoot Lake State Park: This is a fishing lake and just wasn't ranked with my favorites. My husband can come again (by himself) and fish.
