For Ripplin Waters Campground: It’s only our third RV park, but I I can see why people like to drycamp/boondock. The sites are very tight, quite close together. We liked being backed up to the river. No one behind us and nice views. The neighbor woke me at 2:00am going in and out of his RV just from the door closing. Across the highway is a helicopter tour company and it runs all day long, very noisy. On the positive side, the staff is amazing and so accommodating. We needed help since it was our first back in site. Scott was wonderful!!! He guided us in and got us leveled and ready to enjoy our stay. It had rained heavily the day before so the ground was very soft and one side of our rig kept sinking. He ran off to get a piece of wood that did the job to keep our tires from sinking so we could get level. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We back up to the river which is wonderfully peaceful. I guess there will be pros and cons to every park. The only reason we won’t be back is because we saw what we wanted to see here, and have along bucket list of other places to explore. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Travel Trailer. We liked being backed up to the river. No one behind us and nice views.

BMPPRV

For Ripplin Waters Campground: Gravel campsite that was fairly level. We stayed on site 25 by the river. All the seasonal campers (or year round) were on the far row away from the river. The river view was partially obstructed by a newly constructed berm that was recently washed out from a flood. Much of the campground appeared to have been redone or was in the process of being redone. Rates were fairly reasonable (for the area), especially if you stay for a week and get their discounted rate. Wifi was fairly good for a campground with several repeaters throughout. The cable worked fine, but was not high def. Charlotte was very helpful and most of the seasonal campers were friendly. Camp store was well stocked on essential camp items like fuses, covers and bulbs, but little food items. Bath house and laundry were very clean. Nice quiet basic campground that is convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Rick

For Ripplin Waters Campground: 09.23.20 - Great overnight stop only ~5.5 miles from the Interstate. Well maintained and friendly staff. The Park was rebuilt since the two floods last November (2019). Good rates (~$36 for 50 amp using Good Sam). Strong and reasonably fast wifi (many pedestals and antennas throughout the park) . Propane, pool, spotless shower houses & laundromat. Charlotte (owner) is a very charming and nice lady. Scenic Helicopter Tours is across the street (I enjoyed watching them). Some noise during the day, a very quiet park at night. Riverside sites are back-ins. Other sites can be pull-throughs if the back site is open. Nicely stocked RV accessory store. Rocking chairs on the porch to enjoy the available ice cream and watch the helicopters while waiting on the laundry. Will definitely stay here again when passing by or visiting the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area.

Bob

For Ripplin Waters Campground: Nice medium size park right off the main road into Gatlinburg. There is a tourist helicopter place across the road but the noise is not bad. All the road and sites are new gravel and the electric system also looks brand new. There is a 3 ft berm of gravel and clay piled up along the river which might not be considered aesthetically pleasing but it does not prevent access to the river. It appears that the whole park has been redone since the 2020 flooding. The good part of that is that all the long term residents have not yet accumulated copious crap which would make the place look dumpy. So for the time being the park is brand new half empty and fairly quiet, hope it stays this way

Rex

For Ripplin Waters Campground: One Star is too much! I pulled in the campground and went in to the office and greeted the woman at the desk. I asked if I could dump my tanks and fill water for a fee. She yes $20.00. I thought that was very steep but I said ok. Then I said do you have any sites opened she said yes. I asked how much, she pointed to the wall and said the price is on the wall. Rude. It was $38 approx for a site. I said ok I will take it. Then she writes the bill and tells me she added $10 because I came in with my tanks full and that is what she told me she would charge - which she didn’t she told me $20. I said really? She said yes take it or leave it. She then told me that most people that come there are local and come from home with empty tanks. I said this is a tourist town, you get no people coming in from other places - Bull. I told her that she was recently able to open up due to Covid and now you are ripping people off. I told her to keep her site and I kept my money.

Johnson

For Ripplin Waters Campground: 40.00 a night. Very easy location for all sevierville, pigeon forge and gatlinburg attractions. Small sites but had very level site with concrete patio, with sewer, electric, water, cable, wi-fi,fire pit, very clean shower/bathrooms and a well stocked campstore. The office help was very helpful. Very quiet except for the helicopter rides that took off and landed across the street. Would definitely stay here again. The grounds are very well taken care of. We used an Enterprise dealership in town to rent a car and they came and picked us up and it worked out very well.
