For Barton Springs TVA Campground: We stayed in the upper area, which is newer than the lower site in E15 which was one of the few pull thrus that they had.
The water pressure is VERY LOW. We have a water pressure regulator and it stated that the pressure was 20psi coming to the rig. I filled the fresh water tank (took some time) so that I could use the shower and have decent water pressure. Then when we departed I pulled the fresh water drain because I didn't want to carry all that water with.
Cars were driving like its the Indy 500 when they think no one is watching when the posted speed limit is 5mph. There were some sites that had dogs being chained up and no one around watching them. Alot of the sites are not very level. While others are sloped pretty bad. If I had known how the sites were before I would have gotten a back in spot because they were a little more level and of decent size. The roads are decent gravel and are semi easy to navigate with a big rig. The upper sites are not big rig friendly in some parts. There are trees that will take out the sides if you are not paying attention. On the ground on the site across from us someone had a window taken out by the trees. There is really no separation between RV and tent area, they are mixed together. There was a newly built bathroom area but we did not use so I can't say too much about that.
The dump station is on site and near the bathroom. The day before we were to leave there was a car parked for using the bathrooms and had blocked the dump station access. Luckily the day we left there was no obstruction. However if you have a big rig be cautious of the rear swing as there is a tree right there next to the dump station that could cause you some problems if you are not paying attention. Just hope that there is no one parked is there when you are ready to dump or else they will be in your line of departure for dumping. The front gate personnel are very friendly and they have an Ice machine that you can buy Ice from, there is also an area to get a rick of wood if you would like that as well.
Our site was on a slight incline so the picnic table is slanted a bit and the fire pit/grill is low enough that you can sit on the ground and grill (if that is what you wish to do). Its perfect for a firepit but not so much for a grill.
Cell service and satellite service are non existent. We were forced to de-tech because we were unable to use our phones or our Starlink (due to various trees). The other spots down lower would be a better area for satellites but cell service is still bad until you get into town. We camped at Barton Springs Campground-Normandy Reservoir in a Fifth Wheel.

For Barton Springs TVA Campground: Beautiful area for camping and very clean. There was a swimming area for families. There were a few less than beautiful long term RVs but overall we had a wonderful time at this laid back and quiet facility. Not really what the reference to not being level is - these sites are almost as level as you can find in TN with the terrain. In fact they are pretty awesome.

For Barton Springs TVA Campground: Stayed here twice this year. it is a very beautiful place right on Normandy lake. The sites are well maintained, although not all are completely level. Having said that, you can level up pretty easy on most of the sites. This is in reference to the old section. They are opening a new section and it appears that some of those are not exactly level either, but I have never camped there. I can't comment on the bathhouses as I never went in them. The sites in the old section are fairly large. It seems most folks can fit a camper, two trucks, a boat, 2 jet skis and golf cart on them. This does make things a little crowed at times. There are a lot of long term sites rented there. Some probably for the whole season. There is a beach available for swimming. I wish it had sewer but they have a honey wagon that comes by twice a week for pump outs. The family enjoyed both trips there this year. We will go back.

For Barton Springs TVA Campground: I would give this campground higher marks if the only thing being rated was location. It's on a beautiful lake. But, it doesn't have FHU or wifi and in today's world that's pretty essential. The bathhouses need some work and although the sites have grills, most are in poor shape. Still, over all it's a pleasant place to spend a couple days. We stayed here as its close to Lynchburg.
