For Indian Mountain State Park: Indian Mountain State Park - Jellico, Tennessee. We had heard a lot of good things about this little state park, so we scheduled a two day stop here on our way to Pigeon Forge, This is not really a big rig park, but we made it work in our 40 foot motor home. All the sites are concrete and all have FHU. The park has bathrooms and showers for the campers, a small camp store, a couple of playgrounds for the kids, a couple of walking paths, and the day use area also has basketball courts, The big drawbacks are, the locals use the campground road as a cut through, so a lot of riders and lookers through the campground, which to me is a safety concern. There are a lot of low branches to deal with on the roadway in and out of the campground. If you have a 34 footer or less, this is a great little campground, it's just in middle of no where, so plan accordingly.

For Indian Mountain State Park: We stayed here for 4 nights. The park has a very nice lake and you can rent paddle boats and kayaks. They have concrete slabs for parking your RV, water (good pressure), electricity, sewer hook ups and a bathhouse. But no laundry, cable or over-the-air stations. Nothing very close to the park either. The only grocery store is Save-A-Lot. No restaurants other than fast food at the interstate. The campground is adjacent to the public portion of the State Park so you have basketball court, several play grounds, fishing and short hiking trails. So it depends on what your looking for. I will probably not stay here again due to lack of TV, laundry and restaurants. Great for kids and those who want to unplug.

Arlo

For Indian Mountain State Park: This is a great overnight if traveling on I-75 near the KY-TN state line. We’ve stayed here several times during winter road trips heading south to thaw out. We are usually the only campers, but locals do cruise thru the park and campground to feed the geese and check out the RVs in the campground. I’m fine with that. I’d do it too if I lived in Jellico. This pretty place was once an open-pit mine, so a reclamation success story!

SBR

For Indian Mountain State Park: There is nothing separating the campground from the rest of this large park, and staff did nothing to dissuade the many day use park goers who were overrunning the campground, partying, making fires and speeding. The playground, bathhouse and sites surrounding use were full of non-campers until the gates closed at dark. Litter was everywhere on the banks of the tributary surrounding our site. What really did it in for me though was the front end loader that started before 8 am and was left running unattended right next to our RV for 30 minutes. I'm an early riser and didn't mind the noise so much as the diesel fumes filling our motor home.
In 8 months of travel and hundreds of campgrounds this is the first park bad enough for me to leave a negative review. We will not stay again.

RJ

For Indian Mountain State Park: We stayed here for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The park and campground are immaculately maintained. Pads are level and all are concrete with an apron for patio space. Each picnic table sits on its own concrete pad too. Bath house is newly remodeled and is every bit as nice as in any home. The campground is very peaceful and quiet. There are a lot if folks enjoying the lake and the rest of the park, but that is how it should be. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park is easy to get to from I 75 only about 3 miles. We would stay there again any time the opportunity arose.

Walt

For Indian Mountain State Park: Park itself is nice, but traffic thru the park is horrible. Seems that locals use the park road for commuting, some stopping to use the one shower building as they drive through. Maybe Tennessee State Parks don't control thru traffic. In any case, very disturbing with constant traffic. Would not return.
