For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: Great campground for our purposes. Very well maintained. Easy access to sights in Eastern Tennessee and Knoxville. My dog and I enjoyed the hiking trails and clear running streams on site.

For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: Quiet place to park for a couple or a few days of sight-seeing in Oak Ridge and the Cumberland Gap. We were sad to hear how the recent pandemic brought a halt to socializing. No more jam nights, no more open clubhouse, except the couple hours the host comes in the office to take care of business. Arrival was sketchy without a reservation, and there was no one to tell us if a spot was available. Several were open, and there were only two arrival packets on the board awaiting arrivals that day, so we pulled into a site, did not plug in or anything, and waited an hour or so for the host to get back to the campground. There is a welcome board with instructions, but it showed the only sites available were in dry camp areas, which were actually full. So we just waited. Host was friendly, but not reassuring about their being a site until she'd looked at the computer for a few minutes. She was able to get us in for two nights, though someone else was coming into that site the day after that. We were not offered another site if we changed our minds and wanted to extend our stay. It was just weird, not like any other Escapees experience we've ever had. She said they'd cleaned up the park a lot in the last few years, no more junk or clutter. People kept to themselves and barely went outside. She said that's why she didn't keep the clubhouse open anymore. No one participates. Well darn. Use it or lose it folks. Other reviews are right about narrow, unleveled sites, but it wasn't too hard to get settled. Water pressure was a little low, but useable. Verizon was a workable two blips of LTE, and our spot had clear sky and good over-the-air stations.

For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: Sights were unlevel. I say sights cause they had us move. Other people had to move to another spot too with just one day left. They said they have a new computer system. They didn’t know how to use it. Water pressure was really bad too. We want be back.

For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: Convenient location for a stop over. Nice park, friendly people. One bath house with 2 showers and 2 toilets is open and clean, the other one was closed. Good gravel site, plenty long enough for our 38' rig and 20' truck. We chose not to unhook as we were just passing through, heading to warmer weather. My only negatives were the road noise, being right on a busy road, and the width of the sites. Very close to your neighbors. Otherwise, a lovely park. We camped at Raccoon Valley RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Travel Trailer.

For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: Level gravel spots, Our 43’ Rv with Toad managed to park with the Tow car on. Sewer was in the rear & Power was in the middle so you might need extension. Grounds & facility were clean. Nancyann was so nice and helpful with reservations. This was our 1st stay at an Escapees Park. Water pressure was good while the park was full. Easy access to I-75 and I-40.

US CAMPER
For Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park: is Campground is the bottom of the bucket if I ever saw one. Some tenants have been living there for years and it's like a little Peyton Place! They leave their dogs tied out all day whether they are there or not, and one camper sticks his poor dog in a truck at night even when its ungodly hot & humid. Drugs, easy to get from some of the permanents there, security non. Not gated, so there are always running derelicts slowly riding thru during the night. Activities only winter months, and other than one guy who worked his butt off everyday keeping the place looking beautiful, he left the 2nd week we were there due to buying a home, theres one other little guy who is now trying very hard to keep up what he and the guy that left took care of. A few other men ride a golf cart, but are pretty worthless. Office people, personalities of toads, pretty noncaring about anything. The office implies he pretty much owns & runs the Escapees. Save your money & only stop here for a quick overnight.
