Roger

For Sherman Oaks Campground: Convenient to I81 and I40. Easy for big rigs. Mostly poorly maintained long term trailers but they maintain 3-4 pull through spots for overnighters. With PA, $28 for full hookups. No office on site. Phone reservations very efficient. Clear instructions. Quiet park. Not pretty but works for an overnight. 45’ Class A towing.

Emory

For Sherman Oaks Campground: Most of the campground is permanent residents in units that couldn’t move if they wanted too. There are six clearly transient pull thrus that are for mostly overnight stays. The bath house and laundry left a lot to be desired. It’s a rough concrete and cinder block structure that has seen better days. It also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The office never opened while we were there. I would rate this an overnight stop just slightly above a Walmart parking lot. Just a short walk down the road is the Millstone Restaurant. Nice staff and okay food.

Kristina

For Sherman Oaks Campground: Learned a hard lesson. Read the reviews before booking. This campground had mostly permanent old dilapidated campers. It was a pretty creepy place. Sites are uneven some grass some with a little gravel, sketchy hookups, and no site markers. Would NOT stay here again.

Bonnie

For Sherman Oaks Campground: About 80% of camp sites are permanent sites. Very old trailers that need heavy scrubbing. Would not stay here again. Glad it was only for one night.

Ferret

For Sherman Oaks Campground: This is a pretty junky campground but the transient section now has new power outlets at the sites so the power was good. Had to try several sites to find a level one. Passport America gets you 50% off.

Virginia

For Sherman Oaks Campground: This dump does not deserve one star. I wish I could post pictures. We plugged into FIVE power posts before finding one wired correctly (reverse polarity, open neutral). Next morning we discovered we couldn’t get more than 105 volts into the trailer. Abandoned, rotting trailer here, door flapping in the wind. Most who stay here are permanent residents. Trailers black with mold/mildew. Went to pay for our one night (we had planned to stay three). Manager’s site was covered with trash and rotting household items. Three big piles of dog poop on their deck. This is the worst we have ever encountered.

Barb

For Sherman Oaks Campground: No frills, overnight stop while driving cross country. Very pleasant management and cheap for full hook up.
