For Nebraska Tailwaters: This campsite is, in my humble opinion, out of this world! The host is tremendously nice and called us before arrival and just mentioned to text her when we arrived if it was too late. The next morning she was kind enough to gift us a couple of pieces of firewood so my daughters could light their first campground fire.
The location is pristine and in phenomenal condition; restrooms/showers are kept in great shape and the water temperature is just perfect!
We did follow the advice of someone here and were lucky to get campsite 24 because between 23 and 24 is where the drinking water is. We are only here for one night on our way to Mt. Rushmore but the setting has us thinking of adding one more day to enjoy it all! We would definitely camp here again :)

For Nebraska Tailwaters: Lots of positives: great riverside views, nice paved sites, stable power at all amperages up to 50, well maintained grounds, immaculate bathhouse with modern functional fixtures only $10 per night with the Federal “old geezers†pass, friendly hosts. Minor negatives: limited access to potable water (only Sites #4 and #23 have hydrants, we used one at the back corner of the boat ramp parking lot to fill our tank, a few sites have a front-to-back slope that could challenge leveling a Class B/C, not much in the way of non-water related activities. In summary, COE campgrounds have always exceeded our expectations and Nebraska Tailwaters was no different. We would stay here again in our 20 ft TT.

For Nebraska Tailwaters: I concur with the other reviews. The site to get is #24. It has a water fill station. If you put a splitter on it you would have water and electric. One note of caution. The higher numbered sites are in the big old cottonwood trees. I was in #28 and had small branches fall on my truck every night. Some of the larger limbs look a little sketchy and it would not take much wind to bring them down. There was a large limb, about 12 inches in diameter that blew down while I was at the Cottonwood Camp Ground. No none was hurt, thankfully. Just a word to the wise.

For Nebraska Tailwaters: Loved the hosts Brian & Terry. They had many suggestions about the area and made an effort to touch base with you. They made it well worth it. The park is very nice and we do like Army Corps parks. They do an exceptional job with them. These are all back in sites right along the Missouri River. The restrooms were beautiful, warm and clean. Loved our time there.

For Nebraska Tailwaters: Five stars because the camp hosts were exceptionally friendly and professional, Brian & Terry.
The camp faces the Missouri River and is ascetically pleasing . We loved our short two night stay and wished we had more time. The city of Yankton, SD is a place we would love to live in if we were looking. Lot’s of recreational activities. Yes, we would return and definitely spend much more time.

Campground. The first was in the fall of 2017. Beautiful, riverside tent and RV sites, back in with long driveway, large shady trees, almost all level RV sites. 30 & 50 amp electric, water spigots nearby. Spotless restrooms and showers. Boat ramp.fish cleaning station, dump. Very pleasant gate attendant. $8 per night with senior pass. Beautiful spot.
