For Rushmore Shadows Resort: We are members of MOR so our fees are covered by our annual fees. This park is heavily used but reasonably well maintained. They can handle large rigs down to tents and have camping cabins. As it is a membership resort, non-members can stay if they sit through a presentation. Unfortunately some of those campers do not follow the rules making it unpleasant for all. There is an outdoor pool and mini golf which are not monitored by staff. We have experienced very unsafe behavior by young kids not being supervised by parents and putting our grandkids at risk. It is a convenient location for visiting Mt Rushmore, Custer, and the surrounding area.

For Rushmore Shadows Resort: This is a fantastic Coast ti Coast RV Park. It has more than one section. The section we were in with our 38’ motorhome and toad was all level asphalt roads and pads, nicely spaced apart with nice grass between the spaces. High quality utilities hook ups. Excellent location for town and memorials. It’s a little pricey but worth it and much better and no more expensive than the American Buffalo park down the road. They have reduced rate promotions if you will sit through a presentation. We did not do that but we will be back whenever in the area.

For Rushmore Shadows Resort: This is my member park. We have stayed here a few time mainly in a pop up this time we have a class c and for the annual maintenance fees we pay I would have thought that the sites would have been level. WE did get an older site as that is just the ones with full shade but I can't get level with my wheels even off the ground. Facilities well kept up and nice area but what does out annual fees go for. IT is first come first serve and there are plenty of site available but they said we could have them as they have big 40fts coming in and we are just a 31 so we only had a few spots to choose from. Well I would have liked a shady one that was level, maybe the only level ones were the big pads near the road but oh well. I like the area and a lot of things to do.

For Rushmore Shadows Resort: Park is very clean and well maintained, for the price it should be. I’m upset with the park as I made reservations 10 months ago and requested a certain site. On arrival I was told the site was full. I asked if they had my request in the reservation and was told yes but it’s first come first serve, I don’t understand the complete disregard for reservation with over 250 dollar deposit. After that I was shown a map with my choice of 2 spots both in the new area next to the freeway, so for 500 dollars I got a spot I didn’t want because to cancel would have resulted in loss of deposit. We have a new high end Motorhome and the site we got was so slanted that the jacks could not level the coach even with the front wheels almost off the ground! From what I could see most of the sites in the new area were just as bad. So if you want a park that’s expensive, puts you where they want, and sites so off level that you can’t empty your holding tanks completely then here’s your park! Me never again!

For Rushmore Shadows Resort: What a great place with some great views. We are members of ROD, so are stay was free. It’s location is perfect to get to any attraction. The bath houses are clean and maintained. The laundry mat is fairly priced and also clean. Staff is friendly. They also have WIFI.

For Rushmore Shadows Resort: We had a great stay here. Good location to see all of the parks and monuments.
The new front area has level, concrete, pull through
They do have a club presentation. Just say no if it is not for you. No pressure.
