For Lake Park Campground: Great little park. Very quite and friendly staff. Make sure to ask for a spot furthest from the road. We were initially put in a spot right on the road and asked to move, they were very happy to let us move away from the road. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. Only had 30 amp sites but we made it work. Lots of areas to hike and enjoy the river and lake that were very close. We would stay here again. Only gave 4 stars because of the 30 amp service.

For Lake Park Campground: We had never been to the area, so had no idea where to stay. I picked this place based on the reviews. It was fantastic. Great location near town, on a lake, near a park and lots of trees. The staff and owners were very nice. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

For Lake Park Campground: I left a review with only three stars after our first nights stay. I still stand by that review. That review was wrote regarding a Sunday night stay. Our Monday night stay was 100% different and better. I did not speak to anyone in charge at the campground regarding my earlier feelings. I think possibly there was just a rowdy crowd for Sunday night. Monday night stay was quiet all night long and I didn’t get woke up until 6am. I felt compelled to leave another review since each night was drastically different.

For Lake Park Campground: Clean and safe yes. Quiet, NO! Loud traffic noise, loud guests that were up way past quiet time began. Not just next door to us either. We could hear other guests from the far end of the park. This park is right on a highway and is SUPER noisy. If you like to go to bed early, too bad. If you’d like to sleep past 4:45am, too bad.

For Lake Park Campground: Nice park that caters to a variety of guests with Tent sites, cabins and RV sites. The RV sites are gravel, semi level and a little narrow and as mentioned by others connections and picnic tables are very close. We used this for a home-base while seeing the sites in and around the Black Hills and would stay again. Staff are very friendly and helpful (trim branches) and the hours the office is open is especially nice. Didn’t need their WiFi and found over-the-Air channels for local news instead of paying for cable. Laundry room is clean but small (2 washers & 4 dryers) and the showers are very clean but again small. All said I would highly recommend this park while in Rapid City.

For Lake Park Campground: Well cared for park with the fastest wifi I've ever used in a public accomodation. You could probably stream video over it, no throttling or posted limits. I hate places that charge top tier rates and offer lousy wifi (I'm looking at you KOA). Park is adjacent to a lake with a 15 mile bike path.

For Lake Park Campground: Stayed here during the Sturgis Rally in 2015 and loved it so much we are going back in 2016. Wonderful campground!
