For Happy Holiday RV Resort: The one star is for friendly staff and the convenience to getting to Mount Rushmore. Sights way too crammed together. Some sights shared a pavilion so if you were setting at your table your neighbors table was right there with you. We was put in the back that did not share a pavilion but our neighbors were close enough to reach out and touch. We could not put our awning out because of the trees and almost couldn’t get one slide out. The narrow gravel drives to get to sight made it difficult to get into site. A pull thru site shouldn’t be that hard to get into as this was. Vehicles had to be parked in front of the rv’s so made it very tight. The gravel site was over grown with grass. I would not put the title resort on this facility. I’m sure if they would just take a little time to clean up areas by removing some trees or trimming some of them and putting fresh gravel down it would help a lot. Sites need to be spread out more. I’m sure it’s the way it is in order to get more people in. I would not recommend this place to anyone with a big rig. We would not choose to stay again because of the clutter look and tightness of the sites.

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: It’s ok, not great, not bad- PROS: Very wonderful staff, new nice laundry, close to everything without having to up & down steep grades, good water & elec. Quiet, safe nice place!! CONS: WiFi does not work, short & slightly un-level sites. Seems like a nice idea but horribly planned out shared patios. Sharing a common area with neighbors! Covered concrete picnic area with shared fire pit & 2 tables, so close to your our RV that you cannot even put your awning out or some slides. The tables we’re completely crawling with little red mites and other bugs all over. You do not have a slip, you share it with your neighbor so pray they are not going to utilize the fire pit and stay up all night because it’s right out side your RV, literally 3 feet!! Our neighbors were older and quiet and never came out so we tried to be very quiet with the kids roasting marshmallows in the evening.. just felt uncomfortable!

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: Like most established parks, it has pros and cons. Pro: nice people, well packed, well drained level spaces, decent restrooms with lots of hot water, and the ability to pick up a rental car at checkin. Con: some old trailers in the back row make it look much less posh, crowding and cars in every drive so getting in and out requires a little planning, slow wifi when park is at capacity. A generally good experience and I would use the park again.

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: The park is worn. There are lots of permanent trailers that aren't well kept and groups of old dilapidated cars parked everywhere. The grass is ugly and the WiFi never works. The picnic tables are under cover but you share the covered area with your neighbor which is uncomfortable as you are only 2 ft. from their table. If they want to sit there and talk all night then you hear every word because it's right outside your bedroom. The location is good and that was the saving grace for us. The office staff was nice and accommodating until it came time to leave and then we were running late pulling out (we thought check out was 12 but it is 11) and even though the park was empty he gave us a hard time about not being out. He was pretty rude.

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: Older park that needs some upgrades. The pool is unheated. Some washers and dryers don't work. Wifi was struck by lightning and hasn't worked since. You can go into the store and use Wifi there though. I liked the picnic table covers in between the sites. You have to share it with the site next door though. I had a sewer problem that was fixed right away

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: Stayed two nights in June of 17. Sites are large and level. I only needed to stabilize. Lots of trees so the park is attractive. There is a shared covered pavilion between each pair of sites, with two tables and it's own lights and electric. Also offer fire pits, full hookup, and extra fee cable. The wifi was virtually unusable from the site. They said it was "not working at the moment". If I had a nickel .......
Laundry was ok, though some machines were out of order with no sign. Only way to know was to feed quarters and pray.
Bathrooms and showers were adequate, though older and some dirty.
We paid $43 including cable after a GSC discount.
We stayed in a 23' Oliver Travel Trailer.

For Happy Holiday RV Resort: This place was great- cool store, bar, slot machines, eating area, game room, best wifi of any RV park we've visited. EXCEPT THE SHOWERS. They were filthy with black stuff growing on the walls. I suggest you shower in your RV. I was afraid to touch anything in there.
