For Allen Ranch: So first I will start out by saying this is a small quaint campsite along the Fall River. We arrived and the sites were check in yourself. When we arrived there was only one campsite left. We had made reservations months back so we took the one campsite left and moved on.
Same as previous reviews there were campers that arrived later that had a spot reserved but could not check in on the board. The owner was seen correcting this and finding them a site.
We have a small A-Frame so the turns and which that are mentioned did not affect us. However if you have a large travel trailer 5-wheel or Class A I could see where it would quickly become a problem.
Most sites are back in. Although there are a handful of pull through sites closer to the road
We were right on the river. The gras between the campsite and the river was really grown up. I would not walk through that tall grass to get to the river. It would concern me.
Lastly no full hookup. Only water and electric. We had both a 50 and 30 amp box at our site. The sites are grass an ours had huge ruts from people backing in when it was muddy. Makes it a nusince as you almost twist your ankle if you are not careful.
Overall a good place to stay. We were happy with the area and service. Would return if in the area.

For Allen Ranch: This is a small campsite which lies along the Fall River. Kids will enjoy tubing (free for guests) down the river. For Passport America members, $20 is about the right price for the value (water & electric).
The sites are adequately sized to park a tow vehicle adjacent to the RV along the river. There are some pull through sites that are adjacent to the road, about 10 - 15 feet higher than the back-in sites. Since the back-in sites are below the road, we didn't hear much noise from it.
The bath house is old but sufficiently clean. There isn't a lot of privacy - just a curtain separating the two showers and a single toilet. The dump station is alongside the bath house, but the road tilts away from the drain, so you can't fully dump the tanks. Since there is a single entrance/exit, everyone in the sites adjacent to the river have to turn around to leave. We are long at 57ft (34' travel trailer and 22' pickup) and we just barely made the turn around area so it can be done. However it was a worry.
The edge of Hot Springs is just a mile or so away so stores and restaurants are close by. The owner, Joe, is a great friendly fellow.

For Allen Ranch: This park is close to the spring fed warm water stream, which Hot Springs is noted for. The grassy sites are spacious, with picnic tables. Lots of small sites for tents or small RV s. Full hook ups. 50amp service. Only 4 pull thru sites for big rigs, which we have. It is close to the highway, however traffic noise was minimal at night. The GPS didn't direct us correctly, we had to call for Joe to give us directions. We are passport America members so $20.00 was great for us. The park is in need of some TLC, but it is early In The season so getting the grass cut and regular maintenance takes time given the rain etc in the area. Hot Springs has a wonderful heritage pioneer museum which was a 3 story school house until 1962. Also went to Evans Plunge, a water park fed by the 87degree spring healing waters.
