For Oreville Campground: I would recommend the Oreville Campground if you are looking for a lovely but basic campground. Sites are widely spaced with trees and/or open space between. The host kept the bathrooms spotless - a welcome surprise for vault toilets. Plus, seniors can use a Sr pass to get a reduced rate. Yes, it is next to the highway, but the traffic noise didn’t bother us. Lovely place to relax.

For Oreville Campground: A great, dry camping, campground. Very convenient to the monuments. AND, usually not full, according to the campground host, unlike the surrounding campgrounds. We were a little worried when we finally left the Crazy Horse monument and started to look for a campground for the night at 5 PM (a little later than we usually start thinking about where we are going to land for the night). This place had at least 7 sites available. Plenty of green space between the sites. The toilets are primitive, without running water, but clean. Nearby the road, but eventually the traffic died down. If we weren't touring, we would consider staying a couple of nights.
