For Huntington Beach State Park: Don’t understand all the great reviews. The park is nice but not the campground . Sites are gravel with most of the gravel missing. Most are not level and many are very short. Interior roads are narrow. Picnic table is wood and and in poor condition . Too expensive for a campground in poor condition and for 30 amp without a sewer hookup . It has great beach access.

For Huntington Beach State Park: Camped three nights Thu-Sat Mar 21-23, 2024 w/reservations; place was pretty full. Nice clean campground, decent sites and well maintained; easy walk to a great beach and alligator alley. But it is priced way too high otherwise would have given it four stars.

For Huntington Beach State Park: $80 plus for a gravel site, only 30 amp, no sewer and terrible water pressure!

For Huntington Beach State Park: Ridiculously expensive - we are talking $120 per night(with taxes) for a campsite. This is insane. A better value can be gotten for a nearby hotel with superior amenities including WI-FI that is usable. Go to a hotel and drive to this State park.

Ranger Rod
For Huntington Beach State Park: We stayed here 3 nights in the North campground at the end of March and loved it. Lots of live oaks and a fair amount of space between the sites. Those farthest from the beach side are very secluded. Gravel back-Ins were level and we had a short walk to the private beach access path. Modern restrooms and shower house were very clean. The best part to us we’re all the activities you can do right from the campground- beach, hiking among the live oaks to the Octopus tree, biking on the beach up to the eddy where we saw dolphins. Walking or biking along alligator alley is a must do. Saw lots of them as well as many different types of birds. Our Verizon had 2-4 bars and We were able to work and do our zoom calls no problem. God willing, we hope to come back someday.

For Huntington Beach State Park: So glad I found this park! Based on the reviews, chose the north campground and it was perfect. Trees, reasonable privacy where I was on the back loop at site 120, great for dogs, easy beach access, nice restroom and shower facilities. Had to do just a little leveling. 3 dumps at station near entrance. Very nicely maintained campground. Staff at the gift shop where you check in were welcoming. Loved our three nights here. 70 degrees and sunny in early November definitely made it memorable. Hardly any bugs this time of year.

For Huntington Beach State Park: We were looking for a place to stay in the general area while visiting family. We're self-contained in a 25-foot motorhome and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a weeknight in early June. This is a nice, large CG. It relatively crowded and expensive compared to other SC state parks. However, it spacious and inexpensive compared to Myrtle Beach CGs.There are 2 CGs at Huntington Beach, we stayed in North. The sites around the perimeter of the loops are slightly larger, more shady and more private while those in the center are more open, sunny with fewer trees. Site are mostly level or need slight leveling. All sites have electric. Some have full hookups. There's a dump station near the entrance. There was good ATT and Verizon cell service. We camped at Huntington Beach State Park in a Motorhome.
