For Shawnee State Park: We stayed at site 302 which is a "Buddy" site. This site has two RV FHU sites with 50amp service, one is a back-in site and the other is a pull-thru site. Both face about a 1/4 acre grassy shaded area with woods behind. Each has a cooking fire pit and a large picnic table. Between the two sites is a communal fire pit and an additional large picnic table. Each site is gravel and level. We had the pull-thru site and had plenty of room to park our truck in front or back of our 5th wheel. Total length of our set-up connected is 55'. The only issue we had was low water pressure (20psi) but we were able to manage. The beach area parking is about a 1/4 mile from the beach so you will need a wagon or something to carry your supplies. There is handicap parking at the beach. Park is very for walking and camping. Lake on site with boat rentals. State Park is about 11 miles from Bedford. Jean Bonnet and Bad Boyz Bistro are recommended. Also close to "Gravity Hill" and cherry, about and peach orchards.

For Shawnee State Park: We stayed at site 302 which is a "Buddy" site (6/11/24 - 6/14/24). The site was FHU and level, we did not have to use any leveling blocks. The water pressure was low, 20psi but it was still manageable. There are 2 sites at 302, one back in, one pull thru, we had the pull thru. Sites are fairly secluded from the rest of the park. Each site had a cooking fire pit and a large picnic table then there was a communal picnic table and large fire pit between the pair of 302 sites. Each site faced about an 1/4 acre area that you shared that was shady and grassy then woods beyond. The beach area is not easily accessible unless handicapped. You need a wagon to carry items to the beach, parking is about 1/4 mile away. No Alcoholic beverages allowed. Park is a very nice get away area and has close to Bedford restaurants and to orchards. We have plans to return next year. Sites are hard to reserve, possibly year in advance.

For Shawnee State Park: 4/23/19 - Beautiful, well kept state park. Our second time here. Sites are spacious and level with fire ring, picnic table and large grassy area. Lots of trees/shade. Close to the Flight 93 National Memorial in schwenksville. Will stay here again as our travels permit. Only negative is price - a bit high for seniors traveling on a budget.

For Shawnee State Park: We loved this state park. Nice level sites. Not many full hook ups or electric and water but we were fine. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

For Shawnee State Park: Nice, well-maintained campground. Some parts are close enough to the highway to hear some highway noise. But be forewarned, this campground is a significant drive from the Pennsylvania Turnpike exits to the east and west. Bath house was well maintained. Pushbutton showers (free) are just OK. The Flight 93 Memorial site is several miles to the west.

For Shawnee State Park: Pretty park with a nice lake for swimming and boating. Clean and well cared for. Only 10 miles off the PA Tpke and convenient for a one night stop.

For Shawnee State Park: We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way home. The campground and park are very pretty and well cared for. Although we didn't have time to explore, we will be back when we can stay longer. Sites are big but not many pull throughs. You can read the descriptions of the sites on their webpage to see the length of each site. Some of the back-in sites are very nice with level gravel sites and a pad for the picnic table.
