For Timothy Lake North RV: Didn't receive an email with assigned site during Covid. Drove around in our 38ft Class A pulling a car. The online map did not show which sites were drive through. We found an area that had back to back sites that were empty. We pulled through the empty site so we didn't have to back in. None of the sites were marked and we could not tell anyone which site we were on. Called the phone number 5 times with no answer. Called the ranger station and left a message that we had a reservation, could not get hold of the office and other than the street we were on had no idea what site we were on. It was a nice site with woods across the street. Took my husband quite a while to get the electric running. Was a 50 amp box but we ended up having to use 30 amp to keep it from popping the circuit breaker on the pole. South was fully booked but will try that next time.

For Timothy Lake North RV: Campground was less than half full for Fathers day weekend. Gave us a chance to pick a nicer level site. Sites are a bit close together. Neighbors fire ring was no more than 4 or 5 feet from my camper. Barely any activities for the weekend. (But I could have painted a rock with my kid!) Bocci court unusable, mini golf course might have been nice if they didn't have hoses and cords running across half the holes, not to mention that several holes had their greens peeling up. Indoor Water park was closed indefinitely, which I was not told about prior, but they finally posted on their website over the weekend. Went to the heated pool that was far from heated. The store hardly had anything in it for sale. Campground is run down, but it was clean for most part. Showers were OK at best but there was no where to sit or hang belongings while showering. This was my first TT camping experience and its left a bad taste in my mind. Not worth the $71 a night price if I wasn't member.
Drove through Timothy Lake South, looked nicer with less amenities.

For Timothy Lake North RV: First impression was very rough. Campground is old and in disrepair. Sites are not great quality because they are mostly without fire ring and picnic table. Our site did not have a usable water valve ( I needed pliers to open). After first day I need to flush the line because of so much crud in water that blocked my filter.
Campground is loud with a lot of parties. That said they were all peaceful and we felt comfortable allowing our kids ride bikes around.
Management is new and recognizes need to do a lot of work. They did their best to accommodate. We especially appreciated the extra effort to check passes on the way in and the reminder to drive slow because there were a lot of kids.
Next time we MIGHT try the south. We drove around and it looks much nicer. Maybe after two years of investment and improvements we will consider North. For now, too many alternatives to pay a premium for a low quality campground.

For Timothy Lake North RV: One of the worst RV parks we've stayed at in our 5 years of RV camping. They didn't bother to tell us that the indoor water park has been out of commission for 6 months, despite us booking less than 2 months ago (one of the major reasons we drove this far in the first place). Then we had trouble finding a spot that would accommodate our 30ft trailer (despite having a reservation for it). When we finally did get on a site the water standpipe handle was broken off, it was horribly unlevel, there was trash and weeds everywhere and no picnic table or fire ring in sight. After calling maintenance they said they couldn't get us a fire pit or table, but would run a hose from an adjacent site for water. Great. So my wife went to the office to complain, they promised to get a table and fire pit. About 30 minutes later we had a fire ring and an old splintered table. Then the assistant manager stopped by to apologize, she said it took her so long because she was lost (what kind of manager doesn't know their way around their own place of business?!). She also had no idea what the water standpipe was supposed to look like. Oh and I forgot to mention that two of the playgrounds on the site map are actually just an empty lot! Only one was still there (the one in the pictures up near the front office). I don't know how this place stays in business, we won't be coming back and many of the people we talked to said the same, they were appalled at the state of the grounds and equipment.
