For Camp Rilea: Small but great RV park in close distance to everything Goonies. We were in a dry site with 30 amp electric only but we had no issues. The Shoppette is small but so is the installation but the weight room was great. Plenty of room getting through the gate and no issues getting to the park.

For Camp Rilea: The last long review pretty much explained how we feel. But we give it a 5 for military base RV/camping. We were there for a week in August 23.

For Camp Rilea: Campground consists of 10 full hookup sites on an asphalt parking lot and 8 power/water sites on adjacent gravel area. Sites are level and just wide enough to accommodate slides but only view is neighboring RVs. Site hookups are very good but tightly packed at back of sites which may require rerouting water hose to accommodate sewer hookup. There is also a dump station and FW fill site on the base which we did not visit. No CG WiFi but 4 bar 5G cell coverage made for excellent hot spot internet access. Training areas prevent any beach access but there is more than enough grass and paved roads for evening walks or morning jogs. Irrigated grassy areas are visited regularly by geese during the day and on some evenings by a fairly large herd of elk. Live fire exercises started about 10 AM and completed before 4 PM; not very loud but might be a concern for skittish pets or young children. There is a small shower/toilet building in middle of asphalt parking lot which is dated but adequate and reasonable clean. Another building houses a restaurant and small PX, both focused on base staff/trainees not campers ie no ice in PX. The laundry building can be used by RVers and it’s free. For supplies, there is a big shopping complex less than 2 miles away with a Costco gas station and a Walmart. With no beach access, Camp Rilea is not a destination campground but it is an excellent base camp (on US-101) to explore the northern Oregon coast. Our experience was very positive; Fort Stevens, Ecola State Park, Cannon, Arcadia, Hug Point, and Short-Sand Beaches exceeded expectations while Astoria River walk and Tillamook Creamery/Air Museum fell short. Plan to visit next summer if we can get a reservation.

Eureka

For Camp Rilea: 30Apr-6May 22. Check-in process is great (Savannah- friendly and professional). Two site available. FHU for $25/night on cement slab. Electric only for $15/night in gravel. Latrine close by- 3 showers, make/female poopers. Gun fire noise can be annoying if there’s range ops. Otherwise, it’s quiet. Easy bike ride to Walmart and Costco on 101. Astoria Column is worth a visit/climb (165 steps). Will return again if I’m in the area.

For Camp Rilea: Camp rilea is amazing! Very quiet, safe and the hookups are perfect. Yep, it’s an oversized parking lot, but it’s clean and cheap. Plus, you’re in the Pacific NW, hundreds of things to do in a very short drive, we barely spent any time at the rig. If you’re from ocean country maybe seeing the mighty Pacific is not your thing but Rilea literally has a walking trail to what is basically your own private, pacific beach... it doesn’t get any better than that! Walmart near by, cell signal is good (except T-Mobile) we have Verizon, att and t-mobile and the first two were lightening fast. Base access is a breeze, and billeting gets you all set up with your power key. Fun to see ROTC training and the guard units drilling. Must stay and we will be back!

For Camp Rilea: March 2019; Great no frills RV park, 10 back in spots with full hookups and 8, 20 amp sites. Plus some tent sites. Due to the off season I was able to due a pull thru on one of the 20 amp sites. Plenty of overflow area on the post as well. Additionally they have huts, cabins, billets, cottages and Chateau that sleeps ten. Stop at billeting office to pay and get a key.

For Camp Rilea: No frills campsites. Perfect for the price. I stayed in the full hookup sites. All staff we encountered were very friendly at the exchange, gate, and on post restaurant. Highly recommend this if you are visiting the area.
