For Champoeg State Heritage Area: Nice park right on the river. Theres a big day use area away from camping areas. A great playground for kiddos. Quiet park with level asphalt sites. Ive stayed a couple times, I have not been disappointed. The sites are 30 amp, no sewer, except in a very few sites. The dump is closed for renovating until 2/15/2019 I think, but there are places nearby to dump. The water actually tastes good! I forgot bottled water, no filter, so I had to drink from the hookup. I was surprised. Friendly staff. Close to a pretty decent size city (about 10 min from costco) in case you forgot something.

For Champoeg State Heritage Area: A very spacious park with great trees and grass undergrowth. We can see why early settlers built here. The sites are nicely spaced with vegetation separating many of the sites. The sites are level. Would be a good family place with lots of places to play and run. Quiet and clean. We would stay here again.
