For Round Lake Campground: My husband and I camped here on 8/13/16. The road leading up is pretty rough but the views are beautiful! We were the only people there. There are lots of deer everywhere, which have unfortunately drawn cougars to the area. While sitting at the fire we were surprised by two cougars stalking our campsite and growling from the bushes. Way too close for comfort! We scared them off by honking the horn but ended up sleeping in the car in case they didn't go far. If you do go, take appropriate measures for self defense and be cautious!

For Round Lake Campground: Fire destroyed most of this forest in 2003, and stoopid people have fed the local deer to the extent that they've become pests. You will not sleep easy at night with their constant stomping around your campsite looking for food. Beautiful location, swimming in shallow warm water, campfires allowed, no toilet facilities. The deer ruined it for us, harassing during the day, turning into noisy marauders at nite.
