For Silver Falls State Park: We love the area and hiking, but our site, #33 was adjacent to the playground . Choose your site with care. Kids need to play, but within feet of our picnic table at dinner became annoying.

Rick
For Silver Falls State Park: WARNING - Extreme Noise Pollution
The ‘Pine Needle Posse’, aka ‘Volunteer Hosts’ armed with gas and electric leaf blowers make sure nothing organic remains on any paved areas within the large camp ground.
Wearing double layer, industral ear protection, they start as early as they choose - 8:00 a.m., for example. Really. Sadly. Seven days a week, 5 plus hours daily.
At best, good intentions run amok. More likely bored, and/or mismanaged volunteers.
After four days of serenity disruption,
like the local wild life, I chose to leave in search of a quiet camping experience.

For Silver Falls State Park: Beautiful state park. A must see in Oregon. The campground is very nice. The only thing I did not like about it was a constant smell of weed. They allow smoking at the campsites, I wish they did not.

For Silver Falls State Park: State park with electricity! Great park for all sizes of RVs. About half the sites were tents, the other half RVs. The trail system is amazing. Campground has nice hot showers that are free and they allow fires.

For Silver Falls State Park: Beautiful!!! So much to see and do, lots of hiking. No Verizon service at the campground, but free WiFi at the Lodge by the South Falls. Nice showers, level spots. Wish I booked more than 2 nights! I'll definitely be back.

Larry
For Silver Falls State Park: We tow a 27' Airstream and had no issues of tight backin spaces. The main road getting to the park is fairly narrow with blind corners, so go slow...for 5 miles or so. This is a nice campground and it must be quite busy in the summer due in large part for the wonderful hiking amongst the waterfalls. We only stayed a night on our way south, but the spectacular South Falls viewpoint is about a 5-10 minute walk, or take the trail to under the waterfall! A cool area with great Old buildings and lodge, used for food and drinks and for a gift shop.
