For Jantzen Beach RV Park: I recently stayed there. (Discounts are offered for Good Sam, AAA & longer stays.) Power, water & a picnic table on a lawn is provided for each site. There is cable, but don’t bother, as a digital converter box is needed but none are available. WIFI is provided, but again don’t bother. You cannot hook up your smart TV and you might as well forget trying to connect with you (Apple) cellphone. Most major tv broadcast stations are available off the air. Each camp site is given one card that allows access to the laundry [10 pm cutoff] & both men & women’s toilets/showers, so coordination is the key. [I found it a bit weird that the women’s shower access is shared with the men by use of one all access key card, but hey, what could go wrong?] The men’s toilet/shower room smells strongly of urine; wear shower shoes. The shower drain cover is not screwed in place & moves around, so be careful not to drop anything while showering. The drain is slow; wonder what has been dropped down there? The showers are hot & adjustable. There is a pool provided, but I did not use it. The resort is in the takeoff path of PDX [a treat is the fighter jets taking off each morning] within 1/2 mile of train tracks, near I-5 & there is the occasional toot of boats on the Columbia. The RV resort is located next to [within?] a permanent & somewhat older mobile home community. Walks in the neighborhood are nice with a paved path along the Columbia River dike (with some benches & also a gazebo provided.)

Lroe

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: This camp site was very loud with military plans flying over. 1st night a large police presence on the road beside the park 2nd night one of our electric bikes were stolen! Thief broke our heavy duty bike rack, ditched the air tag and took off. We were parked right under a bright street light. I would not recommend this sight. Management was HoHum about the incident. 6/21/23

Ken

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: Stayed 3 nights. Had a nice site surrounded by seasonal sand full timers. Very clean restrooms, showers and laundromat. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. $50 night with good Sam.

MRT

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: LOUD military jets. Sites and hooks up were well maintained. Bathroom and showers old and dingy. Passable for one night stay. Target, Best Buy, Staples, Home Depot, etc across the street.

JMW

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: Three stars is generous as this park is extremely noisy. It lies directly beneath the Portland International Airport flight path so you listen to jet noise 24/7. There is also the train that passes by occasionally. It also is primarily a large mobile home community It is clean and the staff friendly plus the hookups are good so those are a plus but the constant noise level make it difficult to sleep and enjoy the park.

Gerard van Erp

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: Convinient located to explore Portland and shopping at walking distance. Please note: Safeway grocery is closing down on June 6th 2018 Very helpfull and friendly staff, clean bathrooms and laundry. Unfortunatley their garbage collection is not wel organized. Open and dirthy containers all over the park.... Going to downtown Portland: take bus nr 6 or 60 to Delta Park en the yellow MAX to downtown. Buy a daypass for $5.00 only (seniors $ 2.50) and your transportation is all set for the day ! The washington Park is worth a visit, special the rose garden, transportation within the park is free of charge ! The Japanese garden and zoo are worth a visit too. Downtown Portland shopping is not the best we have seen so far.... woth a lot of wanderers and drug addicts on the streets. After 7.00 pm they are taking over downtown completely. Loitering and sleeping everywhere... we had planned to go out for dinner in downtown. In the Chinatown part of downtown most chinese restaurants has been closed down because of the unsafe situation. Only a few restaurants are left and these are not the best. We felt also very unsafe and we were happy to take the yellow Max to Delta Park and bus #60 (yes..you go all the way over Vancouver..) to Hayden Island.

Andrea

For Jantzen Beach RV Park: If you are visiting Portland, this is a great place to stay. It is clean, safe, and friendly. It's within walking distance of a Target, a convenience store, a Home Depot and other shopping. It's in an urban area, so obviously not camping?, but we use it as a home base when visiting our kids, and have been very comfortable there.
