For Pelton Park: Nice campground near Madras, OR. This campground has docks on the lake for swimming access, and even a dog swim area. Being a reservoir, the banks are quite steep. There is also a marina and store at the campground, although we didn't check it out. The campground is quite clean, but sites are a bit close together. Site was flat, good for our class B.

For Pelton Park: Beautiful beautiful location, very quiet, lovely sites right on the water. Come in from the north end if you have any kind of trailer DO NOT come from the south. Okay, I had read the warnings about site A5 in various reviews and it was the only site available so I took it. I cannot say enough, do not stay in site A5 with any kind of four corners rv or trailer over 20 feet and ONLY stay with a trailer under 20 feet if you are very good at backing up- it is a jog leg back in with a woop-di-do so you cannot see the site itself while backing up. Also it claims to be 43 feet long but my 30 foot trailer about filled it and unlike other sites you cannot fiddle a vehicle into it at an angle.

For Pelton Park: Beautiful park! Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Tips: be sure you enter the park from the north as the south entrance is a steep white knuckle ride. No rigs over 40 ft from the south. No water at sites so arrive with full tank or be prepared to fill up at the park.
