For Harbor Vista County Park: Very nice park for #35/night with full hook-ups. Quiet, private sites, very near the ocean / great views. This is the best of the Oregon Coast. Our first site did have some issues since we arrived during gale-force winds we were worried about some of the trees in the area. I must say that the site itself was amazing line calm even with all of the wind. They moved us after we asked to a site with fewer trees. We got 2 bars on Verizon which is pretty common unless you are in a town in this area. The area itself is worth a few days of exploration but you can just walk on the beach if that is what you are here for. Don’t forget to shop for some myrtlewood - I need a new cutting board.

For Harbor Vista County Park: We tried to back in to a site (21). While backing in we heard a loud screaming lady in 25 and her husband. They proceeded to argue and then he must have thrown her clothes out. The sit looked “lived inâ€. She screamed at us to call police as we passed because he had bitten her. We reported to camp
Host and then We decided to go back around at that point not wanting to be near “dramaâ€. Bathrooms not clean and man living in his truck pulled up. We finally chose 34 which was nice enough but Verizon did not work at all even with booster. ATT was 2 bars. Felt like we were in the forest and possibly not safe. Wondered if sheriff was called on incident.

For Harbor Vista County Park: This park is pretty well-maintained. However whoever stayed at the site before us decided to not pick up any dog poop so the first thing we had to do was clean up at least eight piles of dog poop. I can’t believe how disrespectful some of these campers are. The sites are very private however it does make one feel like they are trapped between hedges. This would be a great campground for people without children or people who don’t need a view. Definitely not our style of camping. Our kids were looking for things to do and there is no beach access. The beach access they talk about is a trail to the jetty where you can’t play, it’s just rocks and a mud pit, bay. So beach access I would have to say is nonexistent on foot. I think the sites are overpriced for not having full hook ups. If you are retired you will probably love this site just like my parents do. I would suggest anyone with children look for a better place to camp which might allow beach access or even a few trails for hiking. As I write this review I realize we probably won’t be going back. If I was retired without children this would be a great park. I guess it depends on what you want out of a campground. If you’re happy with staring at tall hedges blocking you from your neighbors and don’t need to do anything or go anywhere close to the campground this would be a great place. If you’re looking for stuff to do you’re going to need to hop in the car and go somewhere.

For Harbor Vista County Park: This is a nice little county CG, FHU at most sites, showers, nice grassy common area and access to river beach near ocean.
I’d stay here again, very secluded sites due to tall vegetation.

For Harbor Vista County Park:
This campground has great sites, very private and well kept. Lots 14-31 have serious low power problems so beware if you're staying here when the park is half full or more. The restrooms and showers are acceptable, not super clean by any measure but they try to keep them respectable. Host and caretaker are very nice and helpful. Trail from park to river beach where dogs can play off leash. No laundry on site but Florence has a nice laundromat on 37th Street and other services and supplies for full timers. Old town Florence has nice shops and restaurants, a dune buggy trip on the Oregon Dunes is fun and we found the Sea Lion Cave interesting.
