For Reddens Camp: What a disappointment. The sites given to transient campers are in a row right along the TransCanada Highway. The view in front of our rig was a row of boat trailers, then a drainage ditch, then the Highway. There is no landscaping aside from grass separating the sites. It was downright ugly as well as noisy. It felt like camping in a Walmart with hookups. The back of our rig was against a privacy hedge surrounding the area where the “preferred†(long-term) customers stay.
The sites are level gravel, nicely spaced, and each has a table and fire pit. Electricity is 30A but no circuit breaker, so you have to plug in “live.†The outlet cover doesn’t fit over the plug, making me very concerned about using it in a rainstorm. It feels cheaply done. The sewer hookup is a piece of plastic sticking out of the ground, facing away from the rig, with a flimsy plastic cap that doesn’t seal (odors escape). The laundry room is immaculate and reasonably priced. But there is no place for campers to put their garbage.
This parking lot is across the street from the camping store, hiking trails, boat launch, etc., necessitating a crossing of this very busy highway.
I paid the same price for this lousy site as did someone camped in the nicer section across the street. If I had known before I paid what I would be getting, I would have left. All in all, this campground left me feeling that I had been taken advantage of.

For Reddens Camp: Lakeside grouping of sites are top notch with beach and dockside gazebo for camper use with big screen tv. Legendary camp store with everything you need including alcohol.
Great community. They also have non waterside site which are not as nice but still decent. On other side of hi way though.
