For Canyon Vista - Roman Nose State Park: Stayed on a Saturday night in early February during some unseasonably warm weather in a 32’ Class C. The park was full of fisherman and the campground was about half full. Everything was clean and well kept. We hiked to the top of the bluff and had a great time enjoying the area. The restroom/bathhouse was spotless and seemed rather new. Be aware that Oklahoma State Parks now only accept payment for campsites via their website. You cannot pay with a check after arriving. This makes things interesting when you arrive without a reservation and you don’t have cellphone reception. Luckily the park ranger and camp store owner worked together to get us internet access so that we could pay. Will return.

For Canyon Vista - Roman Nose State Park: Beautiful place, nice hiking trails, very hard golf course. Rated low because the rangers there are very picky, not very friendly. Make you buy firewood instead of picking it up from the ground. Have been made to move tents mere inches even though we had paid for sites side by side. Are not allowed to save sites for friends even if you want to pay for it. You must have a tent pitched at a site to save it. Instead of just letting you know what the the rules are they get very belligerent. We camp allot with our scouts so we are very conscientious campers. Every time the ranger came through we we sure he would find something to hassle someone about. And sure enough he would. Camp allot and this is the worst I have ever seen this. Doesn't make camping very much fun.
