For Skipout Campground: A great quiet place with 2 sets of bathrooms, dumsters, water, picnic tables, firepits, a trail around the lake, & a boat launch. I've stayed free 7 days so far and would definitely stay again. You should have (or need) an America the Beautiful pass, contact Ranger station at the Washita Battlefield Site for information. Straight talk cell service is very good, 3-5 bars. Coyotes, quial, an owl, & other animals frequently seen or heard.

For Skipout Campground: We stayed here one night. The vault toilet was clean. We had a few issues that will keep us for staying here again. First we travel with our pup 😀 and all the grass had stickers. It was very hard for her to go Piddle because she kept getting stickers in her paws. Our second issue was we didn’t have cell phone reception. I know that sounds kinda ridiculous but we have a kid in the Armed Forces and this momma need to know he can always reach us! There are more camping places in this area that we did find cell reception. We have AT$T.

Found camp on advice of a local. No gate. No one else there. Campground at west end of lake had recently had trees trimmed. Brush still on deck looked snakey so I camped in picnic area. Potable water, table, overhead cover. Head nearby. Quiet. Slept like a log. Will be back.
