For Alabaster Caverns State Park: Really liked this campground, though we were the only campers there the Thursday night in September we stayed there. Very clean. Paved level pads. Shower/bathrooms were very well kept. No judgment on the visitor center or the cave as we were just overnighting. I could see staying here several nights, building a fire, and relaxing.

For Alabaster Caverns State Park: Small campground with water and electric hookups. There are also a number of tent sites available, but the lower tent camping area is not open. The park facility is showing signs of neglect, and while still usable, most of the park buildings are in need of some overall TLC. The cave entrance has caved in leaving the guided tour to use an alternate entrance for all tours. There are also spelunking caves nearby for use by the more adventurous. We used the local hiking trails which were all relatively short and easily accessible. The campsite easily handled our 32’ class c and was level / clean. Two nights was enough to see and do all there is to offer, so while we had a great time we likely won’t return.

For Alabaster Caverns State Park: Camped here to see sights in the area, like the salt plains, little Sahara, etc, oh, and the caverns.

For Alabaster Caverns State Park: Good spot for the caverns. Would not stay otherwise.
