For Arcadia Lake: We stayed here in March and it was pretty busy and not very clean. Most of the spots are pretty nice with lake views and some are flat enough for a small trailer however a large rig may have a hard time finding a site that works. Do not arrive with anything less than 100’ of water hose they are very far apart. We had issues with their honor system during check in, apparently you can call ahead and reserve a site that someone is already camping in so we had to leave. Call ahead to be sure.

For Arcadia Lake: We had spot 105, a pull-through right on the lake. Gorgeous sunset view and plenty of space for privacy. A persimmon tree was right next to our rig. Electrical hookups, no water or sewer on this spot. Community water station. Weeknight rate was $24. We found the space markers (painted numbers on the ground) difficult to see. We were given a map, but the check-in instructions could have been more complete.

For Arcadia Lake: The lake is nice. The showers don’t work. No soap or paper towels in the bathroom. On check in I paid the quoted price, but when we returned from town they suddenly charged me another $22.50 for my kayaks. Highway robbery. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have traveled the US and never seen a more poorly maintained or overpriced state park.

For Arcadia Lake: Stayed 2 nights in our new travel trailer as a test run. Park was full but quiet. There are only 10full hookups, and we were lucky enough to get one. Had both 50 & 30 amp plugs, water pressure was good. Will stay again for a quick weekend getaway.

For Arcadia Lake: As stated in previous review, turns were tight. Restrooms about like most state parks, had unpleasant odors. Site was level and view was great. Gates close at night and the area seems a bit desolate. Not sure what you would do in the event of an emergency or criminal activity. All in all, an OK (but not great) place to stay.
