For Findley State Park: July 2024: Very nice park with many perfectly fine campsites to choose from. That said, it’s a very popular park so site choices can be limited. The campground roads are paved but most all the sites have only a gravel strip for vehicle placement. The shower houses are clean, the shower water is hot and free. There are drinking fountain pedestals scattered here and there among the sites. Those pedestals also have a spring-loaded faucet without hose threads, about 18 inches above ground level. So filling a small water container is possible. There are two freshwater hydrants at the rv dump station, which have standard hose threads, making it easy to fill rv freshwater tanks. The dump station has two lanes, each lane with two waste inlets and rinse water hoses available. It’s a very well designed dump station and was neat and clean the day I used it. The campground fees seemed very reasonable to me, compared to Michigan State Parks for example. Plus, I was not charged an extra non-resident fee! This is a very nice campground and park overall.

For Findley State Park: Another pleasant Ohio State Park. We enjoyed site 247 with a level pad and good sized lot with a big back yard, Quiet campground. Well maintained. Didn't use bath house. Only stayed overnight. 1 bar with Verizon. Archery, disc golf, hiking and other amenities. This place is big. We'll return here. 1 hour to Cuyahoga National Park.

For Findley State Park: They won’t let you in a minute before 2:30 pm, even if they have plenty of open sites. Also, the laundry is closed due to COVID. Sites are very average.

For Findley State Park: Findley state park is well maintained large park! We can easily get lost on 3 mile hikes in the woods and still be on marked paths! The roads are paved and excellent for biking and skating. About half the sites are for tent or dry camping. Half have electric and a few of those have full hookups. We have enjoyed the shade at our site this week and the space between us and our neighbors.
Shower houses are clean. Canoes and kayaks are available for renting. Many musicians set up camp and would jam out for some live evening music! Everyone was so nice at the campground. We enjoyed our stay.

For Findley State Park: Findley SP is a really underrated campground in my opinion. No, there isn't really any attractions around to draw you to this place but isn't the point of camping to get away anyway?! The majority of the sites aren't paved but they have just put in some full hookups with concrete pads and those are really nice. Regular sites aren't perfectly level and you will work a little trying to square up your camper but it's not atrocious. They are larger than most private campgrounds though. VERY nice mountain bike trails, disc golf, hiking and fishing opportunities. The one major drawback is the swimming area. It's not the cleanest place due to the goose droppings. This needs some attention. Bathrooms are clean and really nice. We'll definitely stay here again. Side note: One yearly attraction worth checking out is the Lorain County Fair that takes place around the 3rd week in August. It's one of the best county fairs in the nation and it's a 10 minute drive from Findley SP. A hidden gem!
