For Camp Perry: Nice, quiet campground in northern Ohio. Price was $34 a night for military. Directions are to enter on Niagara, go to 3rd stop sign (Lawrence) and turn right. Go 2 blocks and veer left at the fork and then stay right along the fence line. The conference center is next to the lake. Once in the parking lot, choose a side to make a turn around. DO NOT ENTER the carport. Either side of the parking lot should have room to turn around. We visited Port Clinton, Sandusky, Put In Bay, Toledo, and Cleveland while here.

For Camp Perry: Stayed 2 weeks at Camp Perry
Sites were clean and level.
Bathrooms were clean, with working showers
Lake not usable; as geese have ruined the beach/waters
Employees at registration building were kind and receptive to request to move to quieter spot.

For Camp Perry: Quiet, spacious campground with long, level, paved sites. Check in between 1400-2200 at Bldg 600 (Conference Centrr at the base beach. Recommend 50 feet of water hose and extra sewer hose section as utilities are spread out by 30-ish feet. Not much shade due to immature trees. Very short walk to the beach and fishing peer (5-10 minutes). Bath house was closed when we were here…self contained RV a must. Dogs ARE allowed but must remain in the FamCamp (service animals are the exception). There is a small BX/PX within walking distance open T-F 1000-1500 and a few hours on Sat I believe. Fishing from the peer is decent (white bass, sheepshead, catfish, perch, walleye). Ottawa Nat’l Wildlife Refuge 20 minutes West, Put-In Bay/Kelly’s Island Ferry 20 minutes East, Cedar Point 30 minutes East. Rates based on pay grade…$30 a night for E7; $38 for E9. FamCamp is open to the public for higher nightly fee.

For Camp Perry: We stayed only 1 night and did not make reservations prior to coming. Staff at check in (Building 600) were friendly and helpful. You must check in by 10pm. Due to Covid 19, the bathrooms and showers were closed. 30amp, sewer, and water hook ups at every site and must have keys to open. Flat paved lot with a picnic table and fire pit. Quiet and no mosquitoes. Pets allowed! Nice flat 10 min walk on street to lake. Beautiful place to watch the sunrise! Fishing pier and picnic benches. Only gave 3 stars bc bathrooms/showers closed and no stores/food close by. Overall it’s a nice stop when traveling if you are in a self contained RV.

For Camp Perry: Very clean RV park with long back-in sites. There is a nearby beach and pier. Pets are only allowed in the RV park. There is full hookup, but the electric and sewer are far apart. Sewer also will not accept an elbow connection, it is recessed under a cover. Price is right at $30. We would stay again if passing through. GPS is off by a few miles, the entrance is now at two red columns at a RR crossing.

For Camp Perry: I just came from the Fam Camp at Fort Jackson, and what a contrast. Fort Jackson is 20 bucks a night, and has everything. Camp Perry is 40, and has serious deficiencies.
Sites are level but all are back in. There was plenty of room to create a pull through park, they just chose not to.
Trees are immature, and provide little to no shade.
It has full hookups at every site but the layout is awkward. If you have don't have a big rig you will need either a construction duty extension cord or a sewer extension hose. The electric and the sewer are about thirty five feet apart. You wont be able to use an elbow to attach the sewer hose as the actual pipe is two feet down from the cover. No choice but to run a hose into the pipe.
The bath house is nice but is at one end of the park. It is not centrally located. In addition, you will need your key to get in. They used to give you one key which was really awkward. Now they give you two. But I am sure you can envision what kind of problems that might create, if you have four people in your camper.
It is not quiet here. Commercial truck was backing up with that annoying beep and noisy air brakes between 9 and ten at night. This is my third stay here, and as I get older it gets less and less enjoyable. It may be my last.

Shelly
For Camp Perry: Exceptionally clean campground that has sites that are easy to get into. The shower house was the cleanest we have ever seen. Very quiet with lake access a short walk. Excellent roads that made it easy to get a big fifth wheel in and out. It is a little hard to find and they don't offer activities and other things some campgrounds have. Perfect for our family, will stay again.
