For Cardinal Center Campground: Huge RV park. Pretty flat gravel sites. We stayed in the deluxe sites ($60/night) which are wide enough to insert another site in between them. Finding the park was difficult due to little or no signage. Exit FWY to rte 61 and turn left before the BP station then take an immediate left in front of building with large OH on it. Follow road for approximately 1/4 mile beside FWY (feels like a frontage road) to the office. Office attendant was extremely helpful in finding the park.

For Cardinal Center Campground: Previous visits found this campground to be nice. This visit everything is sub-par. Lots of sites open but they put us right across from the dumpster , overflowing from the holiday weekend. The trash service came to empty it but left much debris behind. Lots of weeds all around us. Out electrical pole was almost falling over. Office staff wasn’t friendly or helpf at all. Gave us a hand tag for car but if you wanted to find your site they had maps on the counter, no directions at all. Think we’ll choose to stop elsewhere on our trips thru Ohio.

For Cardinal Center Campground: If you don’t mind the noise of gunfire from the hours of 9-5 on the weekend or being awakened by a loudspeaker announcing the start of a gun competition at 730AM then this place will be fine. It’s a huge campground with a wide variety of spaces. Some are huge and partially shaded, others are typically small and treed. Depending on the area you choose you may not hear the gun noise or be near the highway. It really is a mix of choices. We didn’t use the pool , laundry , shower house etc.. so I can’t judge their conditions. We were in space 933 . It is along the firing range. The hook ups were in average condition and the spaces were easy to get into and on the larger size than is typical sardine can spacing. When I called to make our reservation the staff was very friendly and accommodating I just wish they had let us know that the competition would start at 730 in the morning.

For Cardinal Center Campground: Avg price. If you’re not a trap shooter then this campground is pretty ridiculous. Pool was closed 3 days out of 10 there and was in the upper 90s all week. Posted closing was 10p on pamphlet, but was locked up around 8p. Late night parties even after the ‘posted quiet time’. Dog feces surrounded our lot. Rec room was ridiculous. Torn up felt on pool table with no balls to play. Non stop work trucks going well over 30mph through gravel area near our site 12hrs a day. Location off 71 was nice but I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back. If looking in this area I’d consider KOA across the interstate. Nothing more than a boondock with a price tag and we had full hook up with the electric tripping daily. “We’ve had issues with the 600s†is all we were ever told when we would report it, daily.

For Cardinal Center Campground: This park is huge with extremely long sites. It is also the site fir many trap shooting competitions so it is hard to get space during one of them. If you enjoy competition shotgun shooting, you won't mind the noise during these events. It is right off I 71 so there is some noise but you can get far enough away so it should not be a problem. No problem getting satellite reception along the last row near the shooting area.

For Cardinal Center Campground: Nice place, very helpful staff. I only wish the local govt would let them put up their permanent sign; I drove by it twice, then asked directions, then found it only barely. (They also need a few signs after the entrance to get you to the office.)

For Cardinal Center Campground: The campsite available to us for a night's stay was a basic (water and electricity only). Normally this is not a problem as we have used communal dump sites at many state parks, which have always been pull throughs. The Cardinal Center, however, had only one dump site for over a hundred basic sites. Moreover, it was a pull-in/back in dump only. Very inconvenient for a single night stay since we were towing and did not want to disconnect. Otherwise very clean.
