For Cross Creek Camping Resort: We stay here frequently while visiting family. We typically come very 2-3 months and stay one week. It’s a well run campground. Office staff are professional and friendly. We have had last minute travel conflicts and found them to be accommodating, and while a refund was not always possible they were flexible and offered future credit. No complaints about that The main roads are asphalt and in excellent condition. Sites are gravel and level. Many are very long and can fit 2 vehicles plus our 33’ 5th wheel. The utilities are reliable and wi-fi with ATT is pretty solid. Sites have picnic tables on patio slab and fire rings. The pool is clean and decent size. If I had to offer one suggestion, I’d say the playground for little ones needs renovation. Our grandkids 3-9 yrs find it pretty dull. It’s clearly old and outdated They have a dump and water station well situated as you enter/exit the park They email you a day or so in advance with the campground map and your site labeled and directions to the site It’s also close to shopping, big box stores, Columbus attractions, the zoo, etc. As I said, it’s a good place and well run. Can’t go wrong staying here

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: Very nice campground, next to the Alum Creek State park. Nicely paved roadway, typical size and didn’t have an issue getting in or out, but yes, if you aren’t paying attention on where your going and find yourself on the pull-thru road by accident, it does dead end. Read the map, go slow and you’ll be fine. Correct the WiFi is not free, however Verizon 5g was at 2 bars. No trash pickup (dumpster at front of park) and the wood we purchased was wet, so not seasoned. All in all the stay was pleasant.

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: Beautiful wooded park. Official staff nice. Sit level. Roads well maintained. Beautiful landscape. Nice big pool. Site specious. Park clean. Some seasonal. Wi-Fi poor speed.

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: Very high priced for what you get they don’t even take you to your lot and they want you to fill out your paperwork online

JS from NH

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: We chose this place and made a reservation months ahead and it paid off. The staff were great and selected a spacious shaded site for a holiday weekend. We picked this spot for full hookups and a little bit of civilization. Nearby Alum Creek offers unlimited recreation and the city of Columbus is nearby. Previous review from TN about difficulties with big rigs is not too far off. We stayed here in July 2019 in our Class A Motorhome.

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: Love this campground. We stopped her for a weekend because of the proximity to the zoo (which is also amazing) and we were greeted with friendly staff and tons of activities for the adults and kids. We added this campground to a place we will come back to.

For Cross Creek Camping Resort: It takes a vivid imagination to refer to this park as a 'resort'. Transient sites are distinctly different from the majority of the well kept sites and roads, which appear to be permanent residents. The blacktop is crumbling and the sites are gravel with standing water when it rains. Due to the narrow roads and parking of vehicles, large rigs have a difficult time turning in the park. The dead end road in the transient area is mind boggling and requires cars parked behind their rigs to back out or turn in tight spaces in other sites. Most of the utilities are at the ends of the sites adjacent to the roadway, which is a rather curious location for them and require long power cords to reach the electric box. The sewer is located in the center of the site but the threaded openings are over-sized and non-standard, which requires holding the hose into the opening when dumping.

The WiFi is included in the site fee but is of marginal use. I was disconnected frequently, especially during periods of high activity in the park. Upon arrival, everyone gets a little card with the WiFi code. On that card is an appeal to voluntarily pay for the WiFi so this 'resort' can keep their costs down.

The park is clean, the flowers and landscaping well done and the staff is friendly. The location of this park gives them a near monopoly so their rates are high compared to other parks we've visited all over the country that are true resorts.

This park is not big rig friendly for transients.
