For Barkcamp State Park: Very nice campground. Hardstand sites that are level but narrow with good spacing. Sites on loop ends especially nice. Arrived after 5pm so checked in at cute little camp store. Staffer very helpful and flexible on adjusting site and extending a day. Small latrines in each camp area. Large new central showers & baths. Just off I-70 about 25 min west of Wheeling WV in Ohio.

For Barkcamp State Park: We would have given a 5 if the bathrooms were not pit toilets. There was a shower building with pit toilets nearby. The site we stayed, #136, didn’t have room for both our 18’ camper and the truck. The place was so nice in so many aspects. They have a great playground, sites for horses, incredibly nice staff. They had places nearby for gray water. There was a dump station near the check in station. We loved being here. We met friends and had great campfires. They need to do something about the bathrooms. This is not up to the standards of other OHio State Parks. It’s like they are the poor relations.

For Barkcamp State Park: We stayed for two nights at site 141 in Loop C. The grounds were very well kept and our fellow campers and hosts were very friendly. We had an issue with our 50-amp breaker tripping after a storm and the maintenance staff were there and fixed it within 30 minutes. The parking spots are a bit narrow, but correctly annotated in their descriptions and plenty of room between sites to enjoy the outside without being on top of your neighbor. It was easily accessed from the highway, but incredibly quiet. The spot was mostly level with a nice fire pit and picnic table off to the side. We had some rain while there and tried to enjoy the outdoors, but the hiking trails were a bit overgrown and muddy, resulting in a pup with muddy paws and burrs in hi hair. We would definitely recommend this park for the nice sites and quiet, minus the occasional moos from the nearby farm.

For Barkcamp State Park: Just returned from a weekend, pleasantly surprised how large the lots are, spacious and clean. Stayed in 102, 42 pad, level and great for our 45 coach. Stay here with confidence.

For Barkcamp State Park: This campground needs a better overall rating. 2 stars isnt accurate at all. Campsites are nicely spaced. Yes some edges of the asphalt are crumbling. It's a state Park not a Gucci KOA! And it's priced as such. We enjoyed the quiet family atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

For Barkcamp State Park: Looked like a nice park online so we let the reservation person pick our site as we were coming in from out of state. The blacktop was narrow & crumbling on edge and we had to settle for not being level. Also, it had rained so our site was mostly mud. If we ever stop here again, we will choose our own site as there are some with grass and more level. Just glad we only were spending the night.

For Barkcamp State Park: We always stop here because it’s close to the highway for an over night, inexpensive, and quiet. It’s a typical Ohio state park.
