For Silver State RV Park: If you’re looking for a place where you have to search for your site because the sections are not marked. Or if you’re looking for a place where to can see how well the axels on your rig are constructed because there are potholes all over that are difficult to avoid, then this is the right place for you. If not, then it’s best to try some other place because it’s got to be better than Silver State RV Resort.

For Silver State RV Park: We stayed at Silver State RV Park in late July in site 72 with our 28’ TT. Site 72 is FHU with gravel and is pull through. It has an old creaking wooden picnic table and no shade. The WiFi was decent and cell service worked well. Pulling into the park, there was no signage or markings telling us where to park for registration. Checking in was easy and the front office staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a little shop inside selling swag, ice cream and a small amount of groceries. Silver State RV Park is one of those parks that looks WAY better online than in person. The interior roads have huge potholes, the pool water is about a foot below where it should be, so the filters are barely able to work. The pool tables in the front office are warped with only 3 functional pool sticks for 2 tables. The bathrooms were immaculate and the showers had plenty of hot water. The signage on the lady’s room is missing, so it’s a bit confusing where to go unless you walk to the other side of the building to see it has a men’s sign attached. Most of the people staying at Silver State are permanent residents. People passing through are assigned front spaces. There is a koi pond at the entrance with a waterfall. Silver State RV Park has seen better days. We got the impression that it’s best days may be behind it because nothing looks like it’s been improved for a long, long time. A much nicer, modern, park is just up the street called New Frontier RV Park. We would stay at Silver State RV Park in a pinch, but it wouldn’t be our first choice.

For Silver State RV Park: Staff was very nice, park was clean but could use some road repair and overall TLC. This park worked well for over night, it was conveniently located with full hookups 30/50, Wifi and cable. Sites are a little close together in most of the park. Price was right at $39 a night however, I could not find a way to get a Good Sam or AAA discount on the website. My card was charged before I arrived and discount not refunded when I asked. Propane sold on site at a good price but store and registration is closed at 5:30 pm.

For Silver State RV Park: Certainly not a resort. But it meets the immediate needs of a traveler on the move. Basic. Acceptable. Lots of permanent residents. I stayed here because New Frontier was full. I recommend checking them out first. Winnemucca RV Park is similar to this one.

For Silver State RV Park: Hot water not available in the main restroom, so we had to hike to the other one. It was large and clean. Much trouble connecting to WiFi. Needed special adapter to connect cable. And the cable TV channel selection very limited—no local news or sports channels. Highway and railroad noise. All in all, an average RV park.

For Silver State RV Park: Spaces are small and tight. Even though they were not busy they still packed us in. Sewer had backed up and couldn't dump. Moved us to another site where the power didn't work. Got money back and moved to another campground.

For Silver State RV Park: We only stayed here one night while passing through but we were very impressed with the staff. I met the owner who was a real pleasure to talk with. Although the parking areas could use paving everything else was well kept. From the pool to the laundry facility into the office and shared building were clean and modern. The Shared bathrooms were clean and tidy and for being a desert RV park we were very impressed. This owner and his staff take great care of this place. Not always a fan of KOAs but we would stay here again. WiFi wouldn’t connect to Apple IOS which is a biggie for us.
