For Wildhorse Crossing: This camp ground has been abandoned since a forest fire about 2 years ago. The campground was designed as a counter-clockwise loop with pull through sites on the inside and back-in sites on the outside of the loop. The entrance is unlocked and blocked open. The sites are usable for dry camping, but beware. Half way around the loop, they removed the culverts across a seasonal stream in two places. Half of the facility is not accessible. There is NO turnaround space at the ditch. Be prepared to back down and/or do some creative maneuvers. Across the bridge at the entrance there is turnaround space. Walk and look before driving too far. Great place to see the stars. Quiet at night. Lots of birds. Peaceful stream sounds. We stayed one night. Without time pressure we would have stayed several more days.
