For KOA Journey at Sams Town: Great camp ground. They have security 24 -7. All of the staff is friendly. Easy walk to the casino. It is a little tight but no problem. I have a 40 foot diesel pusher tote in the Jeep. No problem

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: The only thing that this park has going for it is the proximity to the Samstown Casino. No 24 hr security, basically just a parking lot with utilities, Dogs in pens not on leashes and barking at any and everything. Not even a shuttle to the casino and it's not in the best part of town.

Old Detective

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: This is probably one of the safer and better RV parks in the entire Las Vegas area. Prices are about $40 per night unless you opt for the stay 4 nights and pay for three which than makes it a very affordable for that long weekend

Sam's Town casino is next door and caters to seniors. The park gets heavy use and is a little worn due to age but everything works and they have a pool and laundry. The area has everything a RV'er could possibly need ( wall-mart across the street) numerous RV supply and repair facilities in the area. Even though it is a busy park, we found it quiet at night. Dog friendly.

Jm

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: This KOA has two seperate RV parks. The north one on Boulder street is right next to and more convenient to the Sams Town Casino. They put us in the South Park on Nellis- which is a good 2 or 3 blocks from Sams Town. This RV park had decent spots with a few trees, good laundry, and a small pool with a hot tub. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the sights of the big city. Taking two stars off because of several issues: many full time residents in this park with nothing to do except walk around talking to themselves and eye you & your stuff and sit in the laundry room and watch tv. The sites are very close together. Although there is razor wire around the perimeter fence, the front entrance is not locked or gated and we did not see security at any time during our stay. We did not feel safe leaving anything outside when we were not sitting outside of our camper (chairs, table, dog fence, etc) We were not able to utilize the free shuttle that goes from Sams Town to the strip and downtown due to the walk between the two places. Many homeless in the area between this RV park and Sams Town - much worse after dark of course. We tried a uber one day and then decided to just drive our own vehicle to the strip and park at planet hollywoods free parking.

Steve Miller

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: Great people working the front desk. They got us in with a site large enough for our 25Ft TT plus truck. Only problem we saw was to many bright lamp fixtures around the location we had for the night, 402. Easy in & easy out. $$12.

Colorado camper

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: Stayed here one night. Sites are gravel and very close together. I am glad it wasn't full midweek as there would be no space at all outside in the back in spaces. No picnic table. No grass. No shade for most sites. Still, we weren't in Las Vegas to camp, and this is okay RV park. It was fairly quiet in sites a little off the highway, but the sites immediately adjoining the highway actually had grass. The restrooms were clean although women would prefer privacy of individual stalls for showers plus room for toiletries and more hooks. Wifi too slow to use. We felt safe. We might return--looks better to us than Arizona Charlie's.

Mike

For KOA Journey at Sams Town: Absolutely horrible campground. On the positive: check in was good, restrooms were nice. Sites are awful! Not an RV park that is cared about by the owners, all about the money...get as many rigs in as possible. Slide outs almost touch, no room between rigs. Do not feel safe in this area of town, it needs to be gated and with security posted at the entrance like Oasis, worried about the truck being broken into all night. If you can get an end site, it's tolerable, otherwise I would go somewhere else.
