For Sportsmans Beach Walker Lake Recreation Area: What a find! This campground is huge, with many spots on top that can be seen immediately, but if you continue to follow the camping signs going past the boat ramp the sites are lovely and more private.

For Sportsmans Beach Walker Lake Recreation Area: This is a great place for overnight or a couple nights. The lake is beautiful but sad that so much water has been lost. There are 4 places along the lake where you can stay this one was pay by envelope, $6 and well worth it. Nice and quiet even though you are along a busy road.

For Sportsmans Beach Walker Lake Recreation Area: Gorgeous spot on Walker Lake. We were planning to stay at an RV park in Hawthorne but drove down to check out Sportsman's Beach first and decided to stay here. Cold and windy at sunset, but amazing views, a restful sleep, and no sign yet of the spider invasion that apparently happens here every late spring/early summer.

For Sportsmans Beach Walker Lake Recreation Area: BLM dry campsites on Walker Lake. Upper camp, about 30 sites, are close to highway and have pavement but sites mostly not level. Lower camp, about 20 sites, are on gravel, close to the lake, are mostly pull throughs, and are level. All campsites have picnic tables with shade roof covers and all have great views of the lake. Good place for a basic one night stop while either heading north or south.
