For Mac Leods Beach Campsite: We arrived at this campsite, expecting a positive welcome and to receive an honest approach to what was advertised about this campground.
We had booked a site about two weeks prior, honestly expecting all of the wonderful advertising about this campground. The internet is only available near the office, which was quite a far distance from our campsite, we were told that our campsite had a view of the beach,wrong, we had a view of the bathrooms. When I went to use the bathroom, it was not clean at all, all the garbage was falling out of the containers and there was water all over the sinks and vanities. The campsites were packed in like sardines, and there were no trees. This was not our idea of fun camping......we will never go back and we will NOT recommend this to our friends and family. We did not stay the night that we booked, we were told that we would have had to cancel much earlier, so they took our money and did not care about us being dissatisfied!!! This campground is a disgrace to the beauty of Cape Breton.

For Mac Leods Beach Campsite: Looks good on paper.... Until.
You are welcome by a cold pot of coffee and a stern greeting. The sites are treeless, bathrooms not maintained, crowded site.. The promess of Internet is true if you are ready to use it in the laundry room, no reception at the sites. We also were told that the site had a beach view... Not!
We left but were charges for one night.
In summary,visit Cape Breton but avoid this parking lot at all costs.

Knit mistress
For Mac Leods Beach Campsite: Not many trees. Difficult to receive WiFi. Beautiful area. Easy access to beach and hiking. Central place to camp while seeing the area. Would stay here again.
