For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: Worked for stop over on our 6 week trip. Visited the turquoise Trail and Old Town and nice to be out of town.. mostly full timers, zero WiFi , tight spaces but had full hookups ?

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: We had reservations set up for 2 months prior, a rate of about $35 per night, which is $10 per night as RPI Members, plus a $25 per night resort fee, which I find ridiculous, but whatever. We got there by 330pm with plenty of time to set up and have a nice leisurely dinner before turning in early. No such luck. The first site they assigned us was so tight between two other spaces that we literally could not turn to get our camper in there without doing a complete jackknife with our truck. This will break out our back window. There were 3 people's trucks in the way. They were all within their assigned spots, but just barely. No one was home to move their trucks for us so we could get around them. We called the office and asked for different spot. They assigned us a different one where the site is so long, they put two big rigs back to back when possible. The site they assigned us already had one unit in there. That guy had back up so far that he was 10' OVER his area, into the other part of the site. His neighbor had told him when he was setting up that no other big rig would fit in there because he was taking up more space than he was allotted. His answer? "That's okay, I'm only here for one night." We called the office again. They only had one more spot, otherwise they were full. We tried and tried to get into that spot. It should've been easy except for the ditch on one side and giant boulder on the other side. I have my CDL and drove 18 wheelers. I know how to drive our big rig and park it. There was just no way any of these spots were going to work. I called the office one last time and asked for a full refund. They agreed and were probably sick of hearing from me. We were extremely disappointed. We ended up 45 minutes away at American RV Resort and paid $60 per night. We checked in at 445p completely stressed out and aggravated. At least I knew our rig was safe. Hidden Valley Mountain Park needs to only assign rigs every other spot in that back section. It's ridiculously tight and very dangerous when you're talking about big expensive rigs. We are full-time travelers. This isn't just fun for us. This is our full-time home. We cannot take these kinds of risks when parking at RV parks. They have GOT to allow us some room to maneuver.

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: It is up in elevation from Albuquerque so a bit cooler. We turned our air on for just a brief time. It would be a bit harder to find in the dark. Mgt was great even though we never met them. Our paperwork was ready and we had no issues. There were several pull-thru sites that were level enough for us to not unhook. Park was clean and power was good. We would definitely stay again.

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: Stayed a week to use as a base exploring the area. Pull-thru sites long enough, but narrow. Entrance is adjacent to the Chevron Station with a short steep hill. Laundry adequate, showers clean. Dog walking area. Management friendly.

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: Perhaps in 2017 there were long pull thru sites. Sites are narrow and are stacked two units to a site. I did not see any single unit sites. Too congested. It’s quite with no road noise and I did not have any issues checking in. May 7th and the pool does not open until after Memorial Day.

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: Stayed one night even though we planned to stay a month. We moved due to the lack of WiFi and the questionable neighbors on either side of our tiny space. The most irritating thing was at check in. We had to fill out several pages of applications that required everything from personal references to lifetime financial history. I've done less paperwork when buying a house! After this red tape, we were asked to go through 4 or 5 pages of rules that included several paragraphs on children(we don't have any), smoking (we dont smoke), and "the pool" (which was drained and not open for 3 more months). After 20 minutes of interrogation we were sent to a space that was occupied. Oh well, nice people, just a bit misdirected.

Jon and Barbara

For Hidden Valley Camping Resort: Spaces are narrow and long with some spaces terraced. WIFI available at office. We stayed here longer than expected. Problem with bedroom slide.
Used Charlie's Fleet Services for repairs and they were very knowledgeable and efficient after part was obtained from dealer.
