For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Love this place! Totally exceeded my expectations. Lovely RV campground. Really nice dog park (we have 2 little ones) Dog park has grass. No stickers (rare in these parts) our fur babies loved it. They literally frolicked in it after being cooped up all day on the road. There’s an adjacent BBQ restaurant that I was not able to try, but looked charming & inviting. I’m crazy for BBQ, being from Texas, so next time, the restaurant is a must! The spaces were level. I needed a pull through. No problem! Hookups were convenient. The layout made sense. The campground itself has lots trees, but not to worry, nothing overhead or in the way of getting around. My rig was long at 60+ feet, & I had no problem getting in or out of my space

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Campgrounds are few and far between in this area and we felt lucky to have found this one. The sites were level and large enough. The bathrooms were dated but had plenty of hot water, warm and very clean. Large dog park. We were here for one night. We would definitely stay here again.

Amarillo By Morning

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: We stayed here on the way to California and on the way back. The wind was horrible on the way out and led to the Texas panhandle fires. The management gave us a winward side spot so our door opened up into the raging wind. There seemed to be many vacant campsites able. Returned from Ca. and the wind was still a factor but not as strong. Still had a windward door situation; one night stay didn't make it necessary to ask for a change but park management could give this some thought when assigning campsites. The park is about the only game in the area. We wouldn't stay here for s long stay but overnight is fine. Slots are dirt and gravel. Heavy rains might mash this place a miserable stay.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Say what you like, this guy can cook! I had a half a rack of ribs. Wow! They were great! I was going to eat half and save the rest for tomorrow, oops, too late now. The campground is decent, bathroom is clean, showers look good, who could ask for anything more.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Flat parking spots and very neat and tidy. A neighbor camper highly recommended the food. We ordered from the menu and the food was delivered quickly and was even better than we hoped. We would come back again.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Decent campground. Right off of I40. It is worth it just to meet the character who runs it. When I called for reservations he said he’d have to call me back because he was prepping a brisket for the smoker. Oh yea, it’s a BBQ restaurant as well. They deliver to the camper. Very fast delivery. He had to call my wife back to get the BBQ order because he was checking in someone. But he calls back quickly. Different and fun.

Brian

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Stopped at the Santa Rosa Campground after the App said they had a dump and needed to dump the tanks. My wife waited for the office to open at 8am on the bench out front. A bit after 8am a gentlemen drove up to the office on his golf cart smoking a cigarette and fixed the flag, plugged in his cart and proceeded to open up the office. Never acknowledged my wife with a hello, good morning, nothing. He did ask if she was in the big RV and she replied “yes”. Then said he couldn’t do anything until someone left. Never asking what we needed other than a repeat of he couldn’t do anything until someone left. Long story short, they do not take anyone from the outside to dump tanks. Very rude and disrespectful. Even though we are passing thru and would pay we will NEVER stop by this place in the future and will not recommend. Oh and we had to drive through the park to get back on the main road and the park with maybe 10% occupied so we could have easily pulled into a site and dump.
