For KOA Journey Santa Fe: Not a bad place for an overnight stop. In pi on-juniper forest. Lots a trees. Grounds we eroded and the place in need of maintenance here and there. Didn't use facilities. Staff was there and friendly even though it was the off season: mid-November. The utilities were close to the font of our pull through. With the truck attached I'd was a long run to them; used 50' of power cable. Only have a 30' water hose. There was traffic noise from I-25. I would stop here again.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: We stayed 2 nights at this KOA and would stop here again - it is about 10 miles outside of Santa Fe just off the interstate, and we enjoyed the rustic setting. Expect to hear some highway noise.
In the campground the roads are unpaved, as are the campsites. If it has recently rained watch out for muddy spots!
The bathrooms and showers were modern and had plenty of hot water. Camp store is well stocked but closed at 6pm. The laundry had 5 washers and 6 dryers, all functional but surprisingly expensive.
Wi-fi worked fine, but we were not here at the high season. AT&T/T-mobile/Sprint users can expect good service throughout the campground, Verizon (which we had) is more spotty.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: We loved this rustic KOA. It is nestled in amongst Pi on & another shorter evergreen. The roadway is dirt and the sites are gravel and pretty level. We were very impressed how hard everyone one worked to keep the campground working well. The owners and staff were awesome. The internet was pretty good but mind you we were there at a low season, March. The bathhouse was very clean, gd hot water and heated with a wall heater. We stayed in our RV but the tent area looked so inviting and woody. The cabin had nice location too. The sites are close but not right. All the trees really took that close feeling away. We could hear the I-25 noise but by late afternoon most traffic noise quieted down. Again the rustic and woody feel won us over and we will be back. Oh! Att was great. Hubby used the Verizon hotspot they provided.
The best pizza ever UPPER CRUST & supermarket was only 4 mi away up the road in el dorado.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: We were happy to arrive at this campground. However we never expected the help we needed with our RV.
Staff is friendly and SUPER helpful ! Our space was easy to navigate and level. We will be return to this park our next time back in this area.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: This campground was situated in a beautiful area which was nice. However our space was small and had many trees with low branches to navigate. It was not possible to pull out of our spot without hitting branches. We have a 27 ft Airstream and it was very difficult getting in and out. The space was not level. And there were occasional wafting sewage smells. Next time I'm in the area I'll look for another park.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: Sadly another campground that didn't really want any tent campers. Only 3 sites that had electricity & water. We walked the grounds & selected one of those 3 only to be told our vehicle wouldn't fit so it wasn't an option for us - pick another site. It's Sunday after Labor Day - really, you couldn't have found a way to make it work? We drove on down the road.

For KOA Journey Santa Fe: Made reservation online. When we pulled in late our 'package' of res info was waiting for us tacked to bulletin board. Very useful. Found facilities clean and well kept up. Staff very kind and helpful. Dog friendly with poop bag dispensers throughout. Had fenced in dog run. Not huge but enough. Sites are tight but separated by bushes or trees at least. Too tight for a fire though in our rv site though other sites big enough. Easy access to downtown. Don't usually do koa for multi night stay but did 3 nights and enjoyed. Would stay here again.
