For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: Nice little oasis. Road is a little bumpy coming in. Spacious sites with covered picnic tables. FHU. Bathhouse. We stayed during the week in July and it was not crowded. Beach area with pedal boat rentals. You can kayak, canoe, or SUP if you have your own. Playground & sand volleyball court. Good rates.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: We were here for two nights during July 4. We were surprised how nice this place was, especially for a state park, and at a low cost!
We were in a 24’ class C. Our site (#8) was very large and level, and had a covered concrete picnic table area with standard grill. There was plenty of room between sites overall.
It was just a 1-2 min walk to the lake/swimming area.
Shower area was new and clean.
We did swim in the spring-fed lake which was chilly, but welcome on the hot days. Great lake for paddle boarding, and they do rent pedal boats.
There are hiking trails and wetland area with birding stations, for bird watchers.
There were park rangers patrolling regularly and would keep others from being too loud (music).
Rita, the camp host, is super nice, helpful, organized and very knowledgable.
Overall, we had a great time, in spite of the heat. We would definitely come back here again.
Again, for the price, we could not believe the great value one gets.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: We were here on a Friday and Saturday night in May. Nice campground, though a little dated and also has a little bit of an RV park vibe due to the level ground promoting the lined up campsites. That being said, the restrooms/showers were up to date and well kept. Only time we’ve had wi-fi in a State or Federal park and it was working well. Think this place probably really rocks in the summer as I can see the swimming lake joining this campground attracting a lot of folks and a lot of folks with kids. The swimming lke had very clear water I think because of the minerals in the surrounding terrain. The other lakes at the park (I think there are 5 total) were all way down while we were there, but the swimming lake (Lea Lake) was full. Guess they are able to manage the water there to keep it full.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: Well we were expecting better based on the reviews. We came to stay one night and get into the lake. What we got was a filthy site and the camper next to us playing their music so loud we couldn’t enjoy our own site area. Not a great experience. The temperatures are very warm at the end of June. But the water felt nice.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: Nice level sites with shaded tables. Stayed 1 night while traveling thru area. Too cold to swim, but lake looks to be popular in warm weather. Campsite toilets and showers were closed for renovation during our stay, tho toilets (no indoor shower) at lake pavilion were open and reasonably close by.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: We love staying here. Quiet, good surroundings, not bothered by any aliens! Good level gravel pad sites. Only drawbacks we found are flies (they go to sleep at night) and sand burs. Bad problem to watch for if you have pups out for a walk. But, would still recommend this place.

For Lea Lake - Bottomless Lakes State Park: Lovely spot after a bit of a jaunt out of town. The small deep lake looked inviting for a swim, but proved to be very cold! Large well maintained desert sites with covered picnic table. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and showers. All good. Wanted to stay again on our way back from Carlsbad Caverns but full! Looks like the large RV crowd mostly, but we did see a number of tent sites and smaller rigs.
