For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: Previous reviews covered it all. This is a gem. We based here for hiking and trips to Santa Fe and los alamos. Hike down to the dwellings and take shuttle back is a nice option. The trail out to the lookout is great for sunset. We stated in black bear loop, most sites have no backyard neighbor so you site backs up against the rocks and forest. We have a 12 ft trailer and only a very few sites could fit with us hooked up. Most are shallow and not long. Be warned that there is a NO generator policy…summer cooling is a challenge.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: We loved this cg so much we stayed here 14 nights! Stayed in late July-early August 2021, and were worried about the “first come first served” thing. No need - our “C” (Coyote) loop was never more than half full. Numerous sites in C loop would fit up to a 40’ coach with toad. Sites needed just a little help leveling - much better than we expected. Two trails lead off the campground, one to an overlook and one down to the bottom of the canyon for the cliff dwellings. If you’re not into steep uphills, do that one (Frey Trail) on the weekend, and you can catch a shuttle bus back up from the visitor center to the cg. There is also a surprisingly good little cafe down by the visitor center, run by a local restauranteur. Numerous things to do in the area, including Los Alamos, Valles Caldera, and tons of hiking. Only thing we wished for were slightly longer generator hours, as the afternoon sun can bake your rig, and you only have until 8 pm to cool it down.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: We stayed here on December 25 in a class C 26 foot RV. Only two loops were open we stayed in the squirrel loop. It is fairly narrow and the sites were tight but there still was plenty of space. It is Boondocking at its best. There is no power or water available. But, It is an amazing remote place. It is an easy hike down to get to the visitor center where all of the trails that explore the Pueblo ruins are. In summer they apparently have a bus.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: Stayed August 2017. The Pueblo Ruins are a must see. Campground is extremely quiet and well maintained. Had no problem finding a location. Our B-van + cargo trailer = 38 ft. By our look-see there about 9 sites (of a total 57) we could fit in and expect to get level. Without the trailer there would be plenty of options. So plan accordingly. Bathrooms are clean and nice (no showers). Campsites have no hook-ups. There is a dump station that provides potable water. There are also potable water spigots located in the campground.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: I disagree with the description in the app as well as on the NPS website. The NPS website states that rigs up to 40 feet can be accommodated. Not true.
There are three loops. Loops A and B have a couple of sites each that might accommodate a motorhome, and Loop C has a few more (Loop C is the one recommended for RVs). All three loops have small sites and narrow roads that would never accommodate a big rig; our 29-foot motorhome could handle them but I wouldn't recommend anything more than about 32 feet to try driving there.
Most sites are too short to accommodate a motorhome. The half-dozen pull through sites were already taken, and the back-in sites were angled poorly so almost impossible to back in. We managed to get into some of the back-in sites, but they were terribly non-level, and there wasn't enough room for us to try using blocks.
The setting is lovely and we were looking forward to staying there, but we gave up and left. It was disappointing to say the least. NPS really needs to come up with something better for RVers.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: Stayed one night Mar 2017. Quiet campground but restrooms under construction. Nice dark sky for stargazing.

For Juniper Campground - Bandelier National Monument: Oct16, 17ft. Trailer, some spots are small, great hike down to Ruins in canyon maybe 700' vertical or you can take shuttle. During certain hours you can only take shuttle to park from visitors center in town UNLESS you're camping. No Showers.
