For Lavaland RV Park: Great spot for an over night. We felt very safe. The other campers were quiet. Looks to be several permanent residents here. There is quite a lot of road noise from the interstate. We didn’t use the shower house or laundry but they were available. Easy in and out. Trees are trimmed good. Not 5 stars only because of road noise.

For Lavaland RV Park: Friendly staff. Fairly level. New gravel on road areas. New,very nice showers/bathrooms. Sewer hookups and dump. Easy off/on freeway. More spacious than Blue ?? RV Park in town. Close to Walmart and restaurants. Closer than any other RV parks in town. super fast WiFi—most cg WiFi’s are worthless. Also a small two sided dog run at the far end past the dump. Cg is a great value. Will use again

For Lavaland RV Park: Fairly level sites, not too close together. Roads could use repair. However, staff was friendly. Was easy off and on the highway. Diesel fill up close as we left. Big plus was they just opened a brewery at the entrance. Really good local beers!

For Lavaland RV Park: Good points: close to freeway and Malpais visitor center. EZ access. Level sites, some pull through. Shade trees. About a third of the park are long term residence. Pet friendly. Cheap
Cons: A bit run down, Wifi only worked one night. Bathrooms not cleaned, only 1/3 of the bathroom facilities worked.
But we liked the place. We stayed in a 40 ft Rv with a tow jeep. We saw other rigs pull in and leave. We almost left, but are glad we didn't. We stayed 3 nights exploring the beautiful countryside. Lots of nice places to walk out dog and close to Walmart.
